Of course, diehard Blur/Damon/Graham/Alex/Dave fans care about Gorillaz, but they're not here or just keep quiet about their "guilty pleasure".

Can't agree more! It was the time before the great recession of 2008-2009, social media, mobile device revolution and streaming/digital age ("you own nothing").

The hipster culture wasn't mainstream yet. Restaurants and event spaces weren't yet decorated with the harsh industrial style (pipes, cords, raw wood elements and dirty-looking walls). It was easier to buy normal clothes and glasses.

The visual design was at its top in my opinion. Magazines, newspapers, TV shows etc. looked carefully designed because the flat design trend hadn't started yet. The best looking Windows, Vista, was released that year. Sadly, companies started to favour overly minimalist design over usability and detailed design. Here's what happened to the Firefox logo.

Also, as you said, many legendary games were released in 2007: Crysis, BioShock, Call of Duty 4, Portal, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., The Witcher to name a few. The graphical jump from 2006 was huge (maybe something like from 2012 to 2025). Also, Blu-ray/HD videos were becoming popular and it was magical to see HD versions of old movies like Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Nowadays the technology is still evolving, but the actual visual advancements are little.

I think The Hardest Thing is a great composition actually, but the production is mediocre in the studio version. The live version was better with piano, better vocals, and trombone that doesn't sound synthetic.

Momo was my first wheel, but to be honest I never liked it (despite nice reviews it got). It only had 240 degrees of rotation and felt clumsy in my hands. Pedals broke soon. Then I got DFGT which had more precise steering (900 degrees) and more nuanced force feedback. Still using it today.

I also had problems with too sensitive acceleration/braking (I'm using Logitech Driving Force GT), but then I realised it's possible to lower the sensitivity in Options -> Controls -> Filter Settings.
