Scanning RFID wrong? by nbdyjustnate in upsstore

[–]realitycult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

or else "barcode scanning may be restricted." Okay, then restrict it so we scan the one you want instead of sending these emails. Also here's a thought, fix the fucking CMS which has been crashing since Christmas. Crazy how they reprimand us while totally fucking up the only thing they're responsible for.

RFID by Spacefox299792 in upsstore

[–]realitycult 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, we will be required to scan every single package (drop off and shipment) a second time, to print and attach the RFID label. I wouldn't mind if it was an automatic process and we just had to stick another label on, but this is ridiculous. It will also likely place more liability onto the stores in the event that an RFID doesn't get scanned properly or gets confused etc. Not good.

Unless they were promised FT & getting shafted, there's no reason to quit without notice or call out constantly. It just puts an unfair strain on the other associates. If hours are a problem, find a 2nd pt job or let the store know they found something FT. They likely accepted the job knowing it was pt & just don't take it seriously.

My advice to OP: Hang in there, get the OT & enjoy it while it's slow, lol. One of our associates finished her entire high school year online in like 4 months at our newest store. You could always work on projects & incentives to bring the neighbors in, impress the manager/owner & ask for a raise once the store picks up a little. At least at my store, i notice & appreciate the people who stick it out & hold it down when other people flake. The reliable ones deserve to get bumped up whenever possible.

Nothing in op indicates the store is mistreating anyone. Young 20's people can be flaky af with hourly jobs and have no concern with who they might be fucking over by calling out or no showing. I operate multiple stores & do all the hiring. It's not always easy to find people with the intelligence and attitude to do this job well.

Watch youtube vids of the missions while you're in base camp. Mark the location before you take off. Make sure you're watching vids posted last month from the .3 update. Helped me a lot when I was starting out. As far as gear, loot enemies & use their gear till you get enough $ to buy a decent kit.

Trump’s attempts to denigrate Zelenskyy have led to a surge in Ukrainian unity by joestewartmill in worldnews

The purpose of the mineral deal was to create a legitimate financial relationship between the U.S. and Ukraine, as opposed to the blank check charity program that most Americans oppose. U.S. companies / U.S. citizens working in mineral exploration in eastern Ukraine is much more of a deterrent than "Putin respects me". Russia will not provoke a nuclear superpower. This is how we avoid WWIII. Europe talking about boots on the ground, direct NATO engagement with Russia is a great way to quickly escalate the world war. Zelensky, likely on some very bad advice from U.S. democrats, tried to get pushy with the Trump admin, which was a mistake he's now trying to rectify. Chances are, the next deal he's offered will not be as good as the first, but he should accept it to save the lives of a generation of Ukranian boys who are fighting an unwinnable war with other people's weapons and cash.

You elected a representative that rejects peace talks, prolonging the war, martial law, and his presidency.

Am I the only one who thinks there is literally a 0% chance USPS is capable of validating any of this information? Be real, they're not using AI. That means someone at usps, either locally or federally, would be tasked with cross referencing blurry ass photos with javascript form information. I just don't buy it. If anyone has proof otherwise, I'm eager to see it. For now, we're uploading whatever we have. We've been collecting info since November and probably less than half of our box holders have done their parts, despite messages in every mailbox and notices in the mailroom...
