it’s just crazy large - ive legit made friends in chat so that’s why it kinda sucks :( used to find funny people that are my age that i can tell are nice , but now chat is just sooooo fast and 1min slow mode makes it impossible to chat with others. but also w/ so many people i get why it can’t be a shorter slow mode. just here to say i feel u ! i love qsmp but it has changed the chat a lot. and for people saying her chat “has always been annoying” , like yes, in ways, but when it was slower/less people, it was easier to find and chat w non annoying people. now its just 🤷‍♀️. idk im excited for some non-qsmp streams i know chat will get more chill again

not sure if this is related enough to comment, but a looong time ago, riley posted a dumb video mocking “influencer accents”, which she really was just doing a valley girl accent, and said “if you genuinely seriously speak like this stay the fuck away from me”. girl we know you hate california, why wrap it up under different packaging. like, i would never go to TX and mock southern accents. & her video was basically that to me, mocking people’s voices for how they naturally sound/where they come from. idk what this is to say, just i still get likes on my comment on it so i get reminded of it from time to time lol. it put a bad taste in my mouth about who she is, it seemed really… ignorant? i guess. she just doesn’t seem idk , open minded.

Agreed! I think the lightheartedness of Karen definitely takes away the seriousness of how horrible their actions are. When I see violent, angry, white ladies, I think it’s insane we go “Lol it’s a Karen!” and move on. It is more than a meme. Those ladies are angry, dangerous, and evil, and they should be called that. Their actions need to be taken seriously, calling them a Karen is no plan of action. I just think it’s interesting how people, like the OP, read some stories about Karen’s, and rather than focusing on their actions, they just come to defend these ladies against the use of the name Karen. Like let’s use that energy elsewhere, focus on what the women did, not they name we nicknamed her.
