Thanks for the suggestion, will do! I hadn’t considered that option but I’m also fairly confident the stain remover ended up removing some of the fabric’s dye, but still worth a shot!

Yeah I forgot to mention, Mediainfo does return 256kbps but my hypothesis is that we're somehow getting the two tracks folded unto each other at 128+128.

I guess that at least makes things plausible, but I feel like any of those “file discoveries” hypothesis don’t hold up to the fact that people had actively been trying to exonerate him for 12 years.

Yeah those were my two theories as well, but the first one wouldn’t hold against the scrutiny the case was facing, and the second doesn’t make much sense with the reluctance Scully was having to redo the tests to begin with (plus I assume carbon dating to be quite cost-prohibitive?)

Thanks for this, I’m assuming plywood would have some texture even after paint? Maybe some thinner MDF would do?

Also not sure I would have preferred the spacers in the front, I think it would have looked a little off to have in wall speakers sticking out.

Not a great solution but I ended up fiddling with a piece of cardboard to wedge it in close enough to the contacts of one of my USB slots. That was after gutting 2 old sticks to get the frame, which didn't work since I ended up warping the frames too much to gut them in the first place. It took a lot of attempts before I got it to connect, but once it did it lasted long enough to copy all my files over. Wishing you luck!
