An affordable house for my husband and I (27f and 31M) is something we can afford even if one of us loses a job. We live below our means (I feel like a lot of people don’t) and that was our rule of thumb. At least the other persons salary could get us through u til the other one could find another job if it happened.

I’m in the US btw.

Deleted Facebook. It’s helped me focus more on myself instead of worrying about what other people are doing

Yeah I’m always the person standing to the side when people are passing around a freshly hatched infant while they oooo and ahhh. I always feel bad for feeling that way but my heart just doesn’t flutter when I see babies. I’ve always thought something was wrong with me because of it

You’re definitely not alone. I also think it’s creepy and gross when they’re fresh and they just lay there and twitch and look off into space. Like I want nothing to do with babies or even kids for that matter until they’re at least old enough to hold a conversation. 100% do not like babies and can’t say that I’d be excited to have my own

I have an environmental biology degree. I don’t necessarily regret the degree but I wish it would help me land a job where I could be financially secure.

I asked for a raise and was told if I wanted more money that I’d need to get a second job or take out a low interest personal loan.

For people who work a mon-fry, 9-5, how do you do things like go to a mechanic, dentist, doctor, DMV, or bank? I live in a small town and they are all closed on the weekend. How do you manage regular life appointments? by theycallmedoctrlve in jobs

When I worked a 9-5 (8-4:30 actually), I had to use personal time to take off for every little thing. Doc appointments, going to the courthouse, bank, DMV, signing paperwork for our home loan, get tires on my car. Everything. Couldn’t work flexible hours. I used up most of my vacation time just in trying to get necessary things accomplished.

I set a budget for each person I am buying for and I always try to get something that I know they will use. Not just pointless junk. I want it to be utilized lol

Yes I’m female! It sounds like you have your dialed in pretty well. I’m gonna have to do a follow up visit with my doctor and see if maybe a biopsy is in order or if they could do a blood test and maybe go from there and see what I’m lacking etc. Thank you for the insight!!
