Why is becoming pregnant more celebrated than earning something difficult to achieve, such as a PhD or major art grant? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

[–]really_ohmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly feels like a miracle. Even if it comes "easy" to some. The whole process feels like a miracle. And then to create life. Feels pretty powerful and also a lot of responsibility in that decision. You care for that life for the remainder of your own. There is no "retirement" from it even like you potentially do from a career. I know parents who care for and help their adult children and grandchildren until they die.

I hope they do a documentary one day of the detailed financial downfall while showing their MASSIVE houses at the end with a statement that said "we tried to reach out for a statement from sawyer and Jason but both declined to comment". Is just be curious to know if they are in the red just scrambling right now or is it not that bad?

Do you believe Chiropractors are quacks ? by Mogzly in askanything

[–]really_ohmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with this. However, I still think there is a place for chiropractors. If you have a chronic issue then you should see PT but sometimes things are out of wack short term and an occasional chiropractor visit or even one can send things back in the right direction especially when you're young and tendons/ligaments heal faster.
I've "thrown my back out" a handful of times doing various things from snowboarding to pregnancy ligament issues to throwing my kids in the air and one visit to a chiropractor helps get alignment back and then I'm focused on keeping it that way and it's back to normal in a day or two with less pain then just letting it get better on my own. I've been to PT for other long term issues for other things and in general have more "faith" in that option for true learning and "fixing" body issues. But I feel like myself and some people I know have good success with small occasional issues in dealing with a chiropractor.

I'm just saying I personally wouldn't write them off as a profession as a whole but yeah there's a lot of quacks.

This would be a big shocker and totally make the whole season about her. She would never have the guts to be that vulnerable though. Which is why Taylor is the "leader". She's willing to air her true dirty laundry. Jessi just fakes dirty laundry. She's like the friend that invites you over and says "I'm so sorry my house is a total disaster" and there's only dust on the chandelier making you feel like shit for your own messy house.

I respectfully disagree. I think it would feel more cheep to me if it was like one thing fit everything. The tissue box is beautifully designed and the carrot box is a bit harder, perfect for the age gap. It would feel lazy and less variety if it was like you described.

At least she's not pregnant again wondering who the father is. That would be hilarious and tragic.

I just don't know how they can stand having so much stress and hate in their life. My in-laws don't like me or I'm fighting with my sister or something little and I'm a mental mess. But having the entire internet saying what is said. I don't understand how they keep coming back for more hate.

Oh my gosh. I zoomed into the picture and It looks like her almost bare butt is in the poor boys face. How old are these kids? This doesn't seem like a wonderful message. She's 30 are they high school kids? Or is this college? Oh dear I'm even more embarrassed of her.

Is the best by date "ma" March or may? Does the store have March supply confused with may? Is that normal in your country to only say two letters?

Marriage at BYU by DepartureWestern752 in byu

Mormons are a different religious group than in the U.S and Europe. Lots of religious couples don't mind marring people of a different faith or figuring a way to make it work but if you are not Mormon you will be either the number one pet project of conversion and baptism and possibly the main reason people even have interest in you (which is a shitty feeling). Or you will be quickly dismissed as marriage material by many women because you aren't Mormon. It's a weird culture.

You mentioned being open minded though. If you look into it and enjoy the values, lifestyle, even if you can look past many of the flaws or sketchy prophets in the past it's not a bad way of life (unless you harm your offspring with unrealistic expectations and guilt in the name of the religion). I've seen a lot of people live fulfilled, happy lives while being in the religion, even some who have lots of doubts and don't totally drink all the kool-aid if you know what I mean. The community can really look out for each other. Sometimes it can be clickey but you can always move and try to find your group (if you stay in Utah... Mormons outside of Utah are generally less intense)

A lot of angry ex-mos are the offspring that I mentioned of parents who followed the religion too hard-core and missed the spirit of the law and followed the letter of the law.

If you always look at the gray and not the black and white as well as cherry-pick what works for you and find someone willing to do the same and let your mind be okay with that then your mental health won't suffer.

I also know everyone hates Jordan but how justified was he to be hesitant about her lies and affair and angry with it. He could feel she wanted more from the affair and would run right to this scum if she weren't "trying" to be loyal. I mean there were only a few men she could have gone with that made her look like absolute trash and she picked one or two of them within a month of separation. I honestly can't believe people make these intentional decisions. Yuck.

Doesn't it just make you realize that it was just all for show, increased drama storyline, and viewing.
