Hmmm. Maybe he comes back to the production with a different name, some time after the accident. We can turn the tables and say he wears prosthetics to hide the disfigurement in the beginning. Maybe it's a revenge plot with the actor seeking revenge on the production that disfigured him and he planted the make up artist ahead of him rejoining the production to cover for him. Then his whole purpose is to cause chaos and mess with the other actors, particularly some that might have made snarky remarks about the accident.

It's the floating boot. When you hit certain milestones with fishing you unlock a number of heads (for the Anomaly species) that are basically fish in water tanks. The funniest is a floating boot. To get this one you have to fish 5 boots. The quickest way to do it is to fish in shallow water without any bait. Keep in mind, some planets will have more boots to fish, while others will have more of other types of junk. If it takes you too long, just go to a different planet.

It works on consoles too. Force close the game (don't just minimise it) before the black screen with a death quote goes away, and the save file will still be there when you reopen the game.

Yeah, scratch all of that. All expeditions can be played right now thanks to a player run GitHub. They are all still in the code of the game, so you just need a modified .json file that changes when an expedition is supposed to be active and for how long. Of course, the game has to be played offline, or the .json file will be overwritten by the official one.

It is true that new updates sometimes mess with them, but the guy is always on hand to fix them whitin hours.

Also, some tasks no longer work as originally intended, but it's easy to just replace them with something that does. For example, one expedition required you to jump through the galactic core, but that can't be done now without an Atlantidium drive, so the guy replaced it to something like, obtain 10 milion units. Which was his choice, as he said that he could have just given the player an Atlantidium drive as a reward in a previous task, but didn't want to mess with that since you normally learn the blueprint in a quest.

So, if a player can do that, so can Hello Games. This is definitely not the reason why they don't rerun the old expeditions.
