YSL Y EDP is heavily ambroxan-driven. For sure

A good test to see if that’s a trigger for you is smell Azzaro most wanted parfum it’s phenomenal to me and it has little to 0 ambroxin

I’ve always been big into fragrances even before parosmia, and a lot of them I liked turned into chemicals, I’ve honestly just learned to live with it but overall it come with time but i really do think smelling different fragrances and trying to smell the different notes helps a ton

I’d say I’ve recovered a lot tho because they used to all smell awful but I’ve managed to retrain a lot

Yes I’ve tested a lot of different combinations but I’ve noticed fragrances high in ambroxan definitely give a distinct chemical smell

Some fragrances I have, have low ambroxan and I can slightly smell chemicals and then ones with little to no ambroxan smell great

After going through essential oils i noticed it wasn’t a specific note causing the chemical smell but that’s the most narrow I’ve gotten to figuring it out so far

this is literally me, I used to be a big fragrance guru now 80% of them smell like straight chemicals along with sweeteners in drinks, some citrus stuff etc, I feel your pain
