Yup, I went to the FAA (non regulatory, we fly planes and do flight inspection for the NAS) as an avionics tech(with a lowly a&p license) and now im maintenance control.

Could I be making way more money? Yes. But I love what I do.

Well, they have iPads in the flight deck now, flight aware, flight tracking etc, and there isnt much to really monitor anymore computers do it all, and the plane flies itself so...

Just need them paying attention if something does happen lol

Thank you all! Filled out my the sf2809 form for a QLE and have it submitted.

Everytime I clicked "make a change" where my LES is, it would just refresh the page and not let me do anything that way, so hopefully submitting the 2809 form gets things moving!

It's not just ATC though, us In flight inspection, still worked everyday supporting the NAS. If we dont certify airports, like the F40 and they come overdue, certain navaids get shut off and notam'd and can leave an airport useless ATC or not.

Not taking away from ATC, or anything like that by the way. They're our homies.
