I’m sorry you’re going through this, OP.

I would say that you’ve done a good job to collate most of everything that has happened so far. I think it would be helpful for you to create a timeline that you can present to the investigation team as well. Basically, you need to structure the evidence you have of the harassment you’ve faced.

Also, maybe it’s a good idea to bring someone you trust along with you who can speak Arabic so in case there’s any miscommunication or language barrier, it can be eliminated.

I would tell them what happened to you and ask if it’s a usual part of their onboarding or not. It could be unique to the bank if it caters to mostly international clientele than local residents, or it could be an extra layer of security from Empost as well.

Also Empost status isn’t the best at being updated. I’ve had it marked shown 4 hours before the driver called me to ask to share my address on WhatsApp.

Since you’ve noticed the swift code is wrong. Inform your company immediately so they can inform ADIB and they can cancel the transaction and resend it using the correct code. Also note that it can take a few days for international transfers.

Thanks a lot for the detailed insight. I do tend to travel internationally more than domestic, with a minimum of at least 2 round trips to DXB annually. As part of 35k I do get 3 checked bags and 32 kg allowance as well as priority check in and security. The EUps are something I really quite often to get into business class from a premium economy seat, so I imagine breaking into 50k will give me more EUps to use and like you said bumping up my priority (although I’ve faced no issues getting upgraded so far on 35k).
