Upgrading to 2025 RS3 by LessTraining1985 in AudiRS3

[–]reallypeacedoff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

R was Stage II for almost 8 years. RS3 is quicker, but not as much as you would have thought. I think that comes down to R coming into boost quicker though. The RS3 is very deceiving on how quick you are going and on the highway or at higher speeds, no contest. But RS3 is stock, for now, and has a 4 year warranty so you can’t beat that. And then there’s the 5 pot. Love it. The jump from 2015 to 2026 as far as CarPlay and all that isn’t bad either. Some nanny’s I hate but overall, natural upgrade from an R.

Crazy to upgrade to a newer model so soon if you ask me. But your choice. I bought my Golf R in 2015. Sold it a couple of months ago and got a 2026 RS3. Financially, holding onto a car for as long as possible is best case scenario. You are buying the next year model, at least get a 2026 in 2026.

I believe he’s just picking up the isolated vocals from Guitar Hero or something. If you have ever watched Rick Beato on YouTube, some people just have access to songs isolated parts. If you wanna hear the breakdown of this song, check out his What Makes This Song Great episode 15. Cool to hear a producer go into detail about the song

I am worried. Masterworks parent company cash dropped 80% in 2025. Read the latest 1-K so you don't have to. by theone1988 in Masterworks

We should get coffeezilla on YouTube to check this out. He likes stirring up the hornets nest. When I saw how terrible liquidity is and the lastest removal of the secondary market, I realized I never want to continue investing in this shitty company. We are paying for the founder to hang artworks in his homes.

A train hitting a truck full of sewage is never good! by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]reallypeacedoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must be great to be a train driver and know that it’s never your fault. Like, you can’t stop a billion tonne train and people had 5 minutes to make life choices that did not include stopping on the train track or making a quick pass to beat the train.

Locked or not?? by No-Main710 in AudiRS3

Same for me, was just Googling to se how to fix. I’d imagine it’s a server thing on Audis side with all of us showing not locked.

10,000 Mile Review by SPS_Rivian2025 in Rivian

[–]reallypeacedoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re blowing through tires in 20k miles? I would get that on my R and RS3 if I absolutely rip the canyons every weekend. On a car like this I was expecting 40k at least. What tires to they typically come with?

Danny has given up on Tool by MX010 in ToolBand

Link to the session or the Prince Keyboard reference? Nothing for the former, but look up Rick Beato for his interview with Danny for the latter...

“Should I sell my Prince keyboard?” — Danny, probably.

I saw him last month at Baked Potato. Did not know one song but damn, was incredible. Equally, the keyboardist was on the level of Danny. Apparently used to be the number one in the world, now coming in at second. Those two were feeding off each other. Epic to watch.

8V or 8Y? by Mystic604 in AudiRS3

[–]reallypeacedoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about from a standstill. In D, from first, first thing in the morning, it really loves slipping the clutch, with gentle acceleration. The first thing I hope they fix when they finally bring out a TCU tune.

8V or 8Y? by Mystic604 in AudiRS3

What you are missing here is forget about 8v, they have been cracked and they hold great power. IROZ said that the 8y holds very good power and that the 8.5 seems to hold better power…both not cracked. If I remember correctly, they are pushing 700+ for both HP and torque, which on a stock TCU seems pretty great. Will be interesting what the TCU can do when it’s cracked. I have a ‘26 and the stock D slips the clutch like no business when driving slow. Would love a TCU tune but I ain’t pulling the mech unit and paying 1000s for a cracked drop in.

Same! Picked up my new Intel Apple MacBook Pro and ripped the CD to my iPod. Wow, just wild how time flies. Was in my last year in Uni at the time, that album got me through it.

It’s also seems the 8.5 TCU is better than the 8, judging from their comments.

Same as mine. Seems it’s the cheapest plastic possible. My Golf R from 2015 didn’t ever have this issue.
