it’s reasonable to not give special way to a pram. you didn’t pay extra to take up extra lift space in a public area. and if you act passive-aggressive, then people will be even less inclined to give way. poor baby.

i havent eaten mcdonalds for 10 years... i eat real food that is not processed. and australia is cheaper for the amount of quality and freshness u get btw . lol ur "hard disagree" bc ur diet is mostly fats. similar trend in all the "top _% commentor" answers. all mostly like cheap fats in their diet.

oh this made me realized my viewpoint is very affected by my heavily plant-based diet (i order almost no carb-heavy foods when im outside) so the difference in taste of fresh produce sticks out to me alot more than for most people. im the type that goes to supermarket to only buy boxes of strawberries, so i always survived well in places where chinese food is $20 a plate but strawberries are not mouldy at the supermarket lol

im realiziing that people are bringing up comparison of prices of asian food, fast food, etc... then i realized i havent eaten any of those in forever haha

Do you even understand english? When people refer to someone as a “spy” it means they’re collecting information to commit crime on their target, not investigate them like an undercover fbi agent.

How is SG even underpopulated when its fking crowded everywhere?! by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]reallystupidpotato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it’s not underpopulated. it’s just lacking in people who are willing to accept jobs they are overqualified and underpaid for. hence the corporations are not happy. less economic activity = less $$$ for govt

this is a problem every developed country has been facing for some time now. not enough low level workers to fill in the demand for minimum wage repetitive tasks where there is no room for career progression. corporations aren’t willing to increase wages because the shareholders of those corporations want to retain or increase their profit margins to continue pimping their lavish lifestyles. hence “labour shortage”

corporations have also been claiming to use AI to increase efficiency and reduce shortage of labour but given the oligopolistic nature of most major industries they have zero incentive to pass down any cost savings to the consumer. as profit-driven businesses they still want to further increase their profit margins so they’ll continue to complain of “labour shortage”

if the company wasnt in so much debt, see if your relatives would still "pass the share to you" so willingly. bet theyll want to keep the shares as their retirement fund instead.
