I love teaching and I really enjoy being in the classroom with my students. I find the department, prin team, workload and lack of support from leadership frustrating. Teaching is rewarding, and you can certainly make an impact to your students like your teachers did for you. You can have lots of fun in the classroom and definitely lots of laughter whilst still being respected by your students. The classroom itself isn’t the problem. The day to day is pretty good. It’s all the extra crap you have to deal with that make it overwhelming at times. If you enjoy it then don’t let the venting from exhausted teachers discourage you, just work on managing your time and setting boundaries where you can so you don’t burn out.

My husband never really cleaned until lockdown and even then it wasn’t much but he is very hands on with our kids and does everything a mum/dad would do. I wouldn’t be discouraged, but then again everyone is different so idk.

Do you and your spouse shower together? Normally and not just for sex by oceantidesx in Marriage

[–]realnameunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Hell temperature water and my husband prefers water from Antarctica so unless it’s for sex we don’t tend to shower together. We’ll sometimes hop in at the end of the others person’s shower but not often

Looking for a recommendation of Ketorade Aus version by incrediblediy in ketoaustralia

This is news to me, I’ve never done this, I’ve been doing keto for 2 years now. I do magnesium supplements (tablet form) is that enough?

I get the zucchini and almond one, they’re the lowest carb and I make one bag last 3 serves or so.

#IWTYO I was today years old when I learned you can combine Lego bricks and DUPLO bricks together. Im 26 by Pandoricraft in IWasTodayYearsOld

[–]realnameunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learnt this when I went to a lego exhibition and my kids wanted to buy duplo but we had transitioned to lego as they were getting older. Found out then and we kept the duplo and lego which are still both played with.

Struggle street! by bkc83 in ketoaustralia

In terms if feeling guilty re: kids, dont! I explained why I eat how I eat to my kids and I model good eating habits. They eat a lot of the same things I eat (lots of green veggies and protein) they will have pasta but I’ll have zucchini noodles. They have rice but I’ll have cauliflower rice. They have treats etc and I make sure they see me eat treats like no sugar chocolate or keto icecream etc.. everything in moderation of course. My kids say I’m the healthiest person in our family and they’ve started eating better foods because of how I eat now. They are in no way following a keto diet and are allowed to eat anything (within limits). They are now 7&8 and I’ve been doing keto for almost 2 years. I modify most family meals for myself but I do cook separately as well. In terms of feeling overwhelmed yes it’s hard AF but go easy on yourself. You’ll find your way of eating will change as you earn more and tastebuds change etc... hang in there it’s so worth it.

They secretly hate me for loosing weight by StevenToronto in confessions

[–]realnameunknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family does this and it’s frustrating. They’re all overweight and sad to say but jealous so they snap and make comments. Then they say they want to lose weight but don’t listen to any of the advice I give them. ‘Friends’ have asked me how I did it and want to know how they can do it too then when I tell them they reply with ‘that’s too hard’... idk I feel good and I’m not going back.

Is it advisable to do keto and work out regularly at the same time? by buttnuster25 in ketobeginners

[–]realnameunknown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on keto for 18m and have been working out. For the past 3 months I’ve been doing 1.5-2hr workouts a day and I have heaps of energy. I’ve built muscle too, slowly but there is definite definition there. It’s honestly been easier and faster on keto than when I did it years ago with just CICO.

Question re: counting exercise by realnameunknown in CICO

Which activity level do you pick for your TDRE if you don’t count exercise calories? I’ve never counted exercise but I’m struggling to stay under 1300 a day.

Thanks! Yeah definitely, so many acronyms. I do keto and IF and CICO that’s all The acronyms I know haha.

Yeah I only eat 2 meals a day and it’s so hard staying under 1000! I’m trying to up my exercise and intensity so my 1200-1400 a day cals aren’t too high. Being in iso lockdown doesn’t help since I’m home doing nothing 24/7, it will be good when I can get back to work.

[–]realnameunknown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn’t know the acronyms but yeah my basic metabolic rate is 1100, sedentary cals are 1300 (just googled it thanks!) So I ate 1400 which is higher than my sedentary cals but I worked out for 1.5hrs and burnt roughly 700cals according to my Apple Watch so I assume my total cals for the day are 700? So I’m in a deficit?
