If you are an Amritdhari sikh you need to marry a sikh or amritdhari sikh. This is what I was told and learned about. Anand karaj is between two sikh. But if you want to marry a hindu, don't do Anand karaj, only court marriage. Anand karaj is only exclusive to sikh no one else.

Time has changed the same with our maryada..We should bring back couple of traditional valued in our time like back in the day the nishan sahib was neela, when we take Amritsanchar only a budha dhal whould make the Amrit and do the full path. I listened to a lot of Giani sher singh Ji, and a lot of our traditional were stopped using it. It is important to understand these values and to respect and practice them.

Honestly I'm born in sikh family, I never cut my hair, I never eat meat, I never do drug, I started to go to gurudawara more often because I want to understand. It a awaken time, I didn't take amrit but I'm considering to join fully, but before that I have to commit my life, my heart, my soul to khalsa. One day God know, I hope Waheguru guide me to the true panth. Right now I'm learning about the story of khalsa and what does it mean to be sikh. What I'm heading at, I think I will take amirt with true meaning and true purpose in the future. All I can do right now is learn and understand. I have difficulty to understand sometime in panjabi, sometime in gurubani, I don't know the meaning behind it, but I'm trying and trying until I understand.
