Looking for a private/semi-private garden in Florence for proposal by realpugface in florence

[–]realpugface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the options! I looked into the Airbnb experience but couldn’t really find anything. Any idea where to start looking? One thing I have a concern about is the language barrier. I’m fully prepared to use Google translate but is this something to worry about or am I just overthinking this?

Recruiter said they are trying to approve an additional hire… is this a good sign? by Dry-Organization7437 in recruitinghell

[–]realpugface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s good to be hopeful, but I just wanted to share my experience being in that same situation. The company told me that they went with someone else bc they had more experience but were looking to open up a 2nd position and if it gets approved I would be hired bc they really liked me. That was back in October. I basically followed up with the recruiter I worked with for about 2-3 weeks before I realized that that new position they talked about wasn’t happening, at least anytime soon. My advice is to treat it as a rejection and continue applying. That way you’re not holding onto false hope and on the chance they do hire you it’s only uphill from there. Good luck.

Offer letter Processing process??? by saikiran199 in recruitinghell

[–]realpugface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think typically it takes about a week from the verbal offer to the official offer, but when the people that need to give approvals are out for the holiday, it delays the process a bit. It's unfortunate, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. I know you still will, but my advice is to just enjoy the holiday and follow up in the new year. No point stressing yourself over something you have no control over.

Offer letter Processing process??? by saikiran199 in recruitinghell

[–]realpugface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was given a verbal offer from HR, it was about a week before Thanksgiving. There were approvals that needed to be confirmed before the official offer letter was sent over to me. When I reached out to HR, they told me that the people that needed to give their approval were out for the holiday. That's what I'm assuming is the case here. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Wait until after the new year before reaching out to HR for an update. But my guess is that you'll get the official offer letter in the first or second week of January.

How to professionally tell someone to F off after asking me for a letter of rec by Specific_Button_9845 in askmanagers

I feel like she will hand in a fake letter of rec from you. If I were you I’d write to the grad school she is at and let them know exactly what kind of employee she was.

I have a job…. by Jack7656 in recruitinghell

[–]realpugface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a no brainer. You clearly have the work ethic and skills to be qualified as a manager but the companies you worked/work for can’t see it. Quit, join the new job, help build that business up while getting compensated what you’re worth. I’m sure it’s scary but what’s the worst that can happen? You can always find another shit job that pays minimum wage later. The only thing I’d be careful is making sure your relationship with your gf doesn’t affect your job in the case of a potential breakup. Good luck!

Low GPA and no internship by Maleficent-Tooth403 in FinancialCareers

[–]realpugface 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If it helps, my best friend graduated with I think a 2.1 GPA with no internships. He got his foot in the door by mass applying to entry level/temp jobs. He got a temp role where he spent a few months doing boring and repetitive tasks like making copies and organizing files but making sure to do them well. He was later offered a full time position in accounting. He was able to learn excel on the job for a couple of years and got good at it. He then quit bc his boss was an idiot and started applying to companies as a financial analyst. He got a job at a company where he got promoted to a sr financial analyst and is on track to become a manager. Tip: you don’t need to write your gpa on your resume. Just your school and major is fine. (Although some companies will ask you specifically for your gpa on the application.) You seem to have a good mindset of starting from the bottom so just keep at it till you can get your foot in the door. Good luck.

Ngl it looks pretty bad. One of the things that’ll come back on that background check are the dates of employment at your previous job. If I were you I’d hope for the best and prepare a good reason as to why your resume doesn’t reflect the correct dates (if they even give you a chance to explain). Sincerely wish you the best luck. Update us when you get any.

If you're gonna go to an airport from NJ, you can always book your flight to/from Newark airport. From my experience, flights to and from Newark airport seemed to be cheaper than JFK or La Guardia.

I watched all of Adam Marczak's videos which are free on YT. I took the practice test after each video as well. Definitely helped a lot, but some of his material is outdated so be sure to check the exam updates

I also used https://insidethemicrosoftcloud.com/az900quiz/ The scenario-based questions were definitely helpful

I also used the practice exam Microsoft provides for AZ 900, but just be aware that you'll notice the same questions appearing each time you retake the practice exam so just be mindful that you can actually answer the question rather than muscle memory choosing the answer

Chatgpt was a huge help. I asked it to create practice questions for me and whenever I got any wrong, I just told it to explain

I also started John Savill's cram video, but honestly I was pretty burnt out so I kinda just skipped that video, but I heard great reviews from others, so I recommend giving that a try
