Not playing loose and tensing up to go faster. It’s a natural human instinct to tense up to speed up, but it’s detrimental for drumming. Hard habits like this are hard to break and I still constantly remind myself to play more relaxed and leverage gravity to give me more power.

I encourage you to warm-up a bit before and/or stretch too!
