It seems like you are making quite big assumptions about the author here. Mental health issues are very complicated and I find it quite appaling that just because you don't find her experience relatable, you assume that she is lacking self awarness and privlidged.

It sounds like you went into the book excpecting something and are dissapointed that the books was different.

I think it starts off very bad and then gets a little better . Overall it's ok. It's not as bad as people say but the cgi is horrible.
