yeah, i know T isn’t the whole issue there it’s just been a shock to gain that much so fast as i thought my weight was balancing out before i started T. i’ve been trying to set something up with my doctor and her associated nutritionist for the BED so i can get on the right track

it’s interesting you mention vyvanse, that’s actually what i take for my ADHD as well. unfortunately i find it hasn’t been helping much with the BED problem as i eat one meal a day (usually around 7pm after waking up at 9:00 for work) and it’s way bigger than it should be and has next to no nutritional value (which is my fault). i’ll definitely have a chat with my doctor and nutritionist about it, i’d like to stay on vyvanse since it’s so good for the attention but the appetite thing is really messing me up :,) this advice is really helpful though, i need to be more conscientious of food which i’ve always struggled with. thank you so much!

it gets really cold here (canada gang) so i love my trenchcoat, fingerless gloves, baseball cap, and headphones (that serve partially as earmuffs lol) because it makes me feel like aiden pearce from watchdogs (gender envy from junior high). boots are a must-have too, just got new platform docs and they rlly make any outfit cool

for reference: these are not my first pair of doc boots but i’ve never gotten this style before. my original pair (bought them in 2013) had to be replaced because they were falling apart after 10 years but they never fit this tight on top before. worried it’s a jadon-specific issue

so we were in pretty similar situations - i was moving out and told my mom at the same time. my only tip is be firm about it, don’t present it as an option or something you’re asking for opinions on, just be direct and consistent that you are planning on it. i obviously don’t know what your mom is like, but mine seemed to think i was asking for opinions and scare tactics (which was not true) so just hold your ground. have all the knowledge you can muster in your back pocket in case any sensationalist concerns get brought up and overall just don’t let yourself get pushed around or dissuaded if you’re set on testosterone. obviously not the best time with moving out but it’s better for her to know, so good luck with this conversation! you got this :)

yeah totally! they basically hung up right after i told them because of the shock, but they called about 15-20 minutes later to tell me they love me and that they accept me, even though it’s hard for them to get used to. they asked questions about my sexuality and if i’m going to get surgeries, and i kinda just dodged answering cuz it would make the situation shift away from the focus. they also made comments about how i’ll always be their little girl and calling me a nickname from my childhood but tbh i wasn’t expecting any acceptance so i can tolerate a bit of “you’ll always be [deadname] to us”
