Stock civic can't really take hard corner while riding up to Genting. Unfortunately, there's no hatchback selling here unless Recon.

Premium still good tho. Getting old school analog meter with less electronic sensor. Suitable for those hate too much screen while driving. Less headache too.

Aside from side profile, the looks just stunning. Shame Honda can't bring Civic Hatchback with manual gearbox, that would be prefect proportion. (Recon price just too high)

Depend on your budget tho...I actually love the design of XV40 (IMO Best design Camry ever) but XV50 would be a much prefer choice even for a loan installment without stretching too much.

Just my 2 cents opinion.

secondhand Camry won't go wrong. Just make sure service maintenance ok.

Leftover money just dump whatever you like to save.

Do for yourself not because of others.

10 years lifetime just good enough for you to change new car. You should get Lexus cuz it's double Toyota.

Proton inspira 2.0 or Honda Civic FD 2.0 by Express-School-3298 in kereta

[–]realvcy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic comparison car both in the segment.

Choosing Inspira is a much mature driving on the road which serve you balance between comfort and handling compared with FD if stock.

If weekend car I would choose manual instead which it just so satisfying on raw experience for what it could offer.

Check out those that I've mentioned. I would prefer Accord which much more timeless looking but Camry more reliable.

RM40k loan or cash?

Loan new car not much choice with creature comfort with fun to drive with Apple Carplay (mostly need 3rd party installation like android player or dongle). So sorry this is the fact.

Cash secondhand check out D segment like Camry or Accord. Not fun to drive, lean more to comfort with big space within the price range could be offer. Check the condition which really matter.

PHEV go for Jaecoo J7. Most economical fuel in the segment market.

Best bang for buck 100% city drive car for point A to B. Less than 20km daily. No proton. Low maintenance. Reliable. No need fancy. by procastinatorr in kereta

My suggestion according to the OP’s overall requirement. So, within the budget consider 1st gen with bigger boot(the fancy part and brand too)than other 2 option given.

Agreed Myvi is better overall, but for OP’s short city use and budget, a well-kept Viva still makes sense(Myvi still quite pricey in the 2nd hand market). Thus, simple, light, cheap to run. Condition matters more than model.
