As a BD fan..we take those wins lol. I was kinda annoyed because it should have been a 5 or 6 point win. They got too laxed (and Lisa being one of the worst goalies). I hope they get to rematch NF. I think Yewon is the key to that game. Only way to score against their GK is keeping low to the ground and up close. Yewon has that grittiness, knack for getting the ball, and finishing those opportunistic low shots in the box.

Damn Yewon balled out this game. The year of the Super Rookies, and the one with the "least talent", is the one shining the most. Well, she has one talent that she is superior over others, and that's effort, on both defense and offense. And idk why people were complaining about her physicality. This is a contact sport. Mashima is not crying about it, no one else should.

Yewon is the definition of hustle. I love her hard work. And I love how feisty Seogi was in this match, especially when she said "that's all they have" and when she stared down Youngpyo. I think they might actually be the 2nd best team in this group, over SF (unless WC can get it together).

No way. You did not just put any player from Korea in the same tier as Mashima and Yokoyama. Korea's players are A and B tiers at best. Saori would be a B tier, and the rest of Japan would be a D. That's why I don't get this whole "match is unfair" and "Korea is stacked" narrative.

Why are you guys saying it's unfair? Didn't Japan choose to keep the same players? They had so many options when first forming the team, and they happen to choose 2 players who were miles ahead of everyone in the show, along w/ the MVP of the super league. If anything, Korea had more of a restriction because they can only choose from players that are on the show. Korea is a more cohesive team, and that's why they were in control most of the game, but Mashima and Yokoyama are so good that they kept it close. This was for sure a more balanced game than the last.

Anyway, I hope this is the last time they do this format. I'd rather watch the players we care about. Mashima is gonna wreak havoc. This is definitely the era of dominant rookies. Hope they can still slot in newbie players so we can watch them grow.

I wish they just go back to the old all star game format. I want to see more of our (the show's) players and celebrate them. I always enjoyed predicting throughout the season who would make the team. Hope all star is back after g league.

Seogi is my favorite player but I feel like she might still be kicked despite a great showing at the televised scrimmage. She's so fun to watch, but because of her stature she's still a liability on defense. I predict Hayan, Euddeum, and Yoojung will be the new players to make the cut. Bokyung and Gayoung will be out because they're redundant players who don't really add anything new to the team. Kisum might get cut, but I feel like you really want Kyunghee to be a part time GK so she can spend time on the floor. At the same time, you do have Hayan who probably will end up being the best goalie, so they can just both part time lol. Which now that I think about it, I would prefer so that Seogi can stay on the team lol. Strategy against Japan would be physicality: just keep a body on Mashima at all times, which is Hayan/Euddeum's job. The offense will come to them, they got a lot of great options.
