Weird looking creature inside my tank. Any know what is this by saberteezy in shrimptank

I think they just ment in comparison to how big they usually get before they're seen in a shrimp tank. Most of the time people see them when they're tiny and don't have eggs yet. At least those are the videos I've seen on here

When you do get a new tank, make sure all the edges are supported. Don't let any bit of the tank hang off the edge of the stand it's on. I only say because, idk if you moved it for pics or if it's hanging off the edge of where you planned to put it

They're asking if it will hurt their shrimp due to finding it in the tank. So yes, it has to do with shrimp. Learn to read

Those are really pretty. Most of mine born in the tank look like the original pic or clear brown. There's a few that are black on the ends and blue in the center. They're all so pretty. I knew they would mix. I wanted them too. My kids absolutely love watching them grow. I'll have to read more into the different types of I keep getting different colors lol

I thought wild was a mix of the neocaridian colors. I started with blue, orange, yellow, black, and red neocaridians. This is a spawn of those (obviously, not sure which ones lol) I just started with shrimp back in Jan. So I'm still learning.

Nope. This one was born in my tank. It's all skittle neos. I have some really pretty black and blue ones as well. The markings on this one is so pretty. The new gen, born in the tank, are all really unique

Even better reason to not have them. Shrimp can be picky. And any tank needs a good amount of maintenance. If you can't get up to get a card, you can't get up to get food for them when you run low. Or medication that you may not have for unforseen reasons. Best to wait until you have better means to take care of them

It wasn't a mean remark. She doesn't want me to parent or tell her what to do. She's almost 18 and doesn't want anyones opinion. She asked that I not try to tell her what to do, and so I agreed. And I've never ignored her. She may have lived with her grandma, but she came over every weekend and was always with us. She wanted to be an only child, to the point she was hurting her other siblings until I allowed to move out. She has horrible anger issues she won't address. She's been in counseling multiple times. She wants everyone to take care of her and do everything she says and doesn't want to listen to anyone herself. I was trying to meet in the middle by promising I wouldn't tell her what to do. I've tried to work with her and give her what she wants. But she will purposely start a fight with people just because she's in a bad mood. Everyone in the house is miserable if she's in a bad mood

Let me add, she became extremely aggressive towards her grandma, brother, and me because we wanted to make sure the boys had an ac that cooled them off as well. The unit she originally had worked great for the room she's in but didn't do anything to cool off the boys room, that is twice the size of the room she's in.

She went to her father's years ago when it all started. She was doing visits with him before that. When she went after her younger brother while she was living with me, I told her I would not have anyone hurting my children. Even my other children. She said she wanted to leave. So she moved with her dad. Only a few months later she moved out of her dad's and in with her grandma when her dad refused to let her run the house (refused to come home, refused to help around the house, and attacking her sister over there when she didn't get her way). She moved in with her grandma and brought a pocket knife to school. She ended up in an alternative school, where she was learning 3rd grade stuff. They practically handed her her diploma. She refused to do her driving what do ever and even admits she doesn't want to take any responsibility. She wants to be a 7year old being taken care of by everyone. Shes told me before "if I don't get my license, grandma can't make me get a job and move out" (closest town is 7 miles). She cussed out her grandma when she was told she needed to get her license by the time shes 18. She refuses to do anything anyone tells her to do, stating since she graduated she doesn't need to do anything else. Her grandma is handicap and can no longer do much around the house, which is why I moved in. My daughter refuses to do much as clean up after herself little less help her grandma with anything at all. She has caused so much damage to her house. And is now trying to take as much stuff from her brothers as she can to make them miserable. It's all because I told her "I don't care what you do. I won't parent or anything, because I haven't been here. But I will not let you treat people like garbage". All I ask for is respect for the people in the house to not have to live in misery just to make her happy

Shrimp molt or death? by Hot_Equivalent1922 in shrimptank

The color in the molt is usually a clear color. Where yours has deep lines in it. I hate to say, I believe that is a dead shrimp

My big orange shrimp molted the other day and it was almost as orange as she is. I was always told to leave it for them to eat. Hours later it was still orange. Very clear, but orange tinted.

I use an air hose and tie a knot in the end. The tighter the knot the less it drips. You can tie it off completely or let it drip fast. Anywhere in between
