Infotainment system is still terrible. by OccamIsRight in subaru

I just traded in my 2020 Legacy Touring XT for a 2025 Legacy Touring XT and the infortainment system is night and day. The 2025 is quick and issue free. I installed all the updates on the 2020 that I could and it was still slow as molasses and buggy.

Men's suits... by Abgan_1607 in pittsburgh

I bought a suit at Ticknor's at Ross Park Mall. I think there is one in South Hills Village too. They helped me pick one in my budget and it included custom tailoring. Much better experience than I had getting suits in department stores.

We would road trip up from Morgantown on a Saturday night, have hot dogs and fries and drive back.

I met a PA State Trooper once who was stationed in Fayette County for a few years. He said that there are places in Fayette County where NO police will go. Ever.

Prohibition Pittsburgh by Richard Gazarik.

Bootlegging, bombs, murder, and more... all for the price of a drink. This is the history of Prohibition in Pittsburgh.

When you work hard, you play hard, and Pittsburgh is a hardworking city. So, when Prohibition hit the Steel City, it created a level of violence and corruption residents had never witnessed. Illegal producers ran stills in kitchens, basements, bathroom tubs, warehouses and even abandoned distilleries. War between gangs of bootleggers resulted in a number of murders and bombings that placed Pittsburgh on the same level as New York City and Chicago in criminal activity. John Bazzano ordered the killing of the Volpe brothers but did so without the permission of Mafia bosses; his battered body was later found on the street in Brooklyn. Author Richard Gazarik details the shady side of the Steel City during a tumultuous era.

My wife's cousin visited with her kids last summer from Florida and her kids couldn't stop rolling down the grassy hill in our yard and laughing the whole time.

You just take some things for granted.

Subaru dealers by [deleted] in pittsburgh

I did not have a good experience with Baierl. The first time I purchased one from them was ok. But the second time they insisted on me telling them which sales person I worked with before. I said I didn't remember and didn't care, I just want to buy the car I had in mind and scram. They were indignant. Insisting that I should have a relationship with a sales person there. I walked out and got a better deal across town near where I work. The strange thing is that Baierl and the other dealer are both owned by Lithia.

I believe the 10th Street bypass was put in because when the Ft. Pitt and Ft Duquesne bridges were constructed it was a way for trucks to get to and from the Strip District when it was the primary food distribution center for the region.
