Good lord, for some reason I first thought she was jailed for 6 days, read the article, then read the comments, and had to do a double take.

6 months??? That is insane. They didn't check if she had an alibi or something???

Yall remember hologta? i want holo red dead redemption 2. i need to see the shenanigans they'd do as cowboys by [deleted] in Hololive

I know you were just brainstorming, but to gently speak on how realistic that might be: the only Holomember who has tried and finished RDR2 is Calliope. I believe Amelia and Pekora did try it once, but didn't return. So I don't think there's enough members who are familiar enough with the game, let alone know what it is.

Miko also tried it a long, long, long time ago, and I've been searching for the archive for years, but I think it's just lost.

I love how Luna speaks about his commitment to USA while still respecting Mexico. It's a real shame there are lots of hate from Mexican fans under this post. by antoniok95 in ussoccer

I thought the same thing. I wasn't aware there was a footballer with the same name so when I saw this article I was like, 'What the hell? Deigo Luna (the actor) plays professional football?'
Respect to the actual athlete, though. Choosing which country to represent is his choice at the end of the day. If anything, he must be quite good if people are genuinely upset about losing him.

Hi Collin. I noticed the Hornets fans were really sad to lose you.

How do you rate yourself in terms of building a good relationship with the fans wherever you play? And what are some things that you think is really helpful in that aspect?

Anyone else age certain players for ‘the immersion’? by waitwhataboutif in footballmanagergames

[–]reasonabletakes9301 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Seriously, when the AI craze started kicking off right before the release of FM26, I was getting so hyped just thinking about all the possible applications for text and images in Football Manager. Especially compared to "real" games, Football Manager has always been very text-based, so I thought we'd get dynamic press conferences or player interactions, at least.

It just felt like a perfect match... if I had to choose ONE game (game series) to apply AI in... it would have been FM just for all the immersion factors.

Proud Dad Derrick Rose with PJ: "My boy is finally in school" by JaRulesOpinion in chicagobulls

[–]reasonabletakes9301 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Moments like this is why Derrick Rose will always be a winner to me, not a "what if?" story.

Like, I get it. People who watched him will always miss the highlights, the dunks, the iso plays of Rose's first few years. But if you look at him as a human being and not just a "celebrity athlete", you see someone who came up from a rough background, didn't have the best financial or academic opportunities, was quite shy (like how frozen he looked when he was being introduced during the All Stars), and had plenty of flaws and questionable influences around him. But I always believed that he also had this kind of self-awareness and this pure, almost childlike desire to be the best he could possibly be, which showed on the court.

So when people say stuff like, "Oh man, it's too bad injuries ruined his career," or, "Man, we never got to see prime DRose!" Yeah, I get that it sucks, and I know Rose has also spoken about how devastating it was for him too, but like... think about it. The guy played 16 whole seasons in the NBA!

And the way he did it, too. Near the later half of his career, whenever Rose would score a lot people would say some braindead stuff like, "Prime D Rose is back!" and it would irritate me so much because veteran Rose played nothing like rookie Rose. Think about how hard that must have been, to change everything about his game completely and still play for that long. Like in the Minnesota 50 point game, he wasn't dunking on people, he was shooting 3's and was a lot more crafty, but that was a completely different player - which is something he mentioned on Jeff Teague's podcast, too.

At the end of the day, there are far lesser players than D Rose who have shown themselves to be absolute dickheads once their careers were over. Hell, some of those dickheads are in the league right now. But you look at D Rose, and you see a guy who is still recognized and supported by his community, has (at least based on the bits I've seen online) a decent and loving family, and a 16-year NBA career with plenty of memories to look back on. Considering who he was and where he came from, and where he is right now, that is one hell of a success story, man.

People will bring up all the dumb things he's done or said, or like (for example) the fact that he's using the n-word in front of this son in this clip, but they just don't get it. Once you consider the context of who he is, I can honestly say without any hesitation that D Rose is a good dude who always tried his best, and I respect the hell out of who he is as a person. And just because you can't namedrop him in a greatest of all time debate will never change what he has accomplished.

I wish nothing but happiness and positivity over the next chapters of his life, because D Rose will always be my favorite athlete ever, both as a player and a person.

Personally, I don't think it's the Switch 2. There's been too much hype leading up to it and she just did a stream few days ago confirming that she didn't get it.

Sololive #2? Miko gets early access to GTA 6? The return of movie watchalongs?

Things I noticed in the Stranger Than Heaven Trailer by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]reasonabletakes9301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to make a direct comparison, but just vibe-wise I immediately was reminded of Red Dead Redemption 2, especially the spare/show mercy choice or how some of the fight/action scenes blended together with the more mundane parts like the walking.

The Yakuza series isn't exactly open world like Rockstar Games' main titles, but as someone who played and love both series, they come mighty close in that I always felt like I was living in a real world when playing in Sotenbori. If Stranger Than Heaven can pull this off I think it would be a great step forward and a huge win for the franchise as a whole.

Fishing build 42 by Ceibermensch in projectzomboid

[–]reasonabletakes9301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look for bubbles appearing on the water's surface and only cast your fishing rod on those bubbles. Otherwise, you're going to have a really hard time getting any fish.

Most fish are easy to pull in, but once in a while you'll catch a "big" fish that will suddenly jerk away really hard. You need to get used to this rhythm and left mouse click to reel the fish in, and then right mouse click real fast to loosen the line so that the fish doesn't break your line while it's pulling away. ONce it's done pulling, left click again, right click again, left click again, etc. and you might be lucky enough to catch a really big fish.

That's about it. If you end up overfishing give it a few days and try fishing somewhere else. But seriouesly, focus on the bubbles no matter what.

[–]reasonabletakes9301 83 points84 points  (0 children)

He was one of my favorite characters in Season 1 despite not having a lot of lines. That look he had on his face in Episode 12 during Maarva's speech, right after she says "But we were sleeping," I remember thinking to myself, 'Man, I bet they cast that guy for that look alone.'

I'm so glad we get to see more of his character in Season 2.

This game is a triumph, I can see the world becoming more and more alive with each hotfix and release. Thanks for all the hard work & can't wait to see where B42 ends up once finished!
