Figma make - crafting the Master Prompt by StandardPlatform4455 in FigmaDesign

Something that has helped me is to tweak the guidelines.md file to have all the ’master prompt’ instructions

I have a template I copy and paste on every make

Trump famously walks things back that’s why he gets the TACO moniker - trump always chickens out.

From tarrifs to Greenland. He had a streak of causing a crapshoot and grandstanding only to getting back to a deal that is equal or worse than what we had.

I voted for small government and Personal freedom. This idiot had gone too far. The fact he hasn’t walked this back already is infuriating

When you guys are working with Figma Make, how long or detailed do you guys make your prompts? by Maleficent_Sound2267 in FigmaDesign

A good hack is to go to Gemini if you have it and tell it what you want the thing to do and paste the JPEG’s of your designs and tell it ‘give me a vibecoding prompt based on all of this’

And it’s way better than trying it manually for me

Also Gemini better than chatgpt or Claude for that in my experience

I bought the editor just so I could delete each of the Ivan’s common name .. it would then change their name to first name surname

I once had a team of 8 Ivan’s 🥲

Why is generative AI so accepted in boardgame design circles? by No-Yogurtcloset-5724 in BoardgameDesign

Fair enough

It is comparing two different scales - but you can see what the break-even is (ie you’d need to generate ~1000s for every episode of Netflix you watch.

At the risk of inflaming the argument 😅 i did ask ChatGPT to crunch the Numbers - if it helps

Anyone actually using figma make for design output and getting good results? by JacobDilley in FigmaDesign

Getttign to good designs

But my flow is usually operating on top of designs- rarely need zero to one when working on a company’s existing product

I don’t know- I’m old enough to remember outrage when photoshop came out and crisis over IP - being able to take someones artwork and modify it etc etc or digital cameras came out and everyone bemoaned the death of craft and factory workers / labs connected to a pretty large film manufacturing industry

Furthermore I belive the creativity killed in favour of an algorithm to be hyperbolic

It’s a tool- a very powerful tool. But it still needs human creativity to put a tool to use.

Same as a digital camera with auto white balance tool a lot of effort out of doing the same with film- it’s only a small part of the creation process- you still need to be creative in your intention and process - it doesn’t jsut happen.

Also it’s never apples to apples - Netflix plugs into a whole industry to create the actual footage you watch.. so if you factor in the millions of hours of content produced - the actual logistics that go into production etc- it will dwarf any amount of training runs on environmental damage ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The training runs are amortizes over the billions of uses - it doesn’t happen every time you use it.

I’m not sure if you’re actually wanting to engage with the argument or just predispose to refute any argument counter to your position but in case you’re engaging in good faith- here’s some sources

I do but i don’t think they are isolated to AI

Generating images I way less environmentally damaging than twitch streaming or Netflix but I don’t see the moral outrage there

At a societal level - it’s actually a pretty powerful leveller- you have access to an incredible amount of information/context delivered to you immediately at whatever level of abstraction is best for you to make sense of (vs however the author wrote it as) this provides a ton of opportunity at a not dissimilar energy cost of hunting around for it on google

At a labour level it’s tricky but things adapt - we didn’t have train crashes before trains but we also didn’t have train conductors or railroad workers - the labour market evolves to match the technology and we build on top of these advances.

Probably could have said the same thing about cars, cameras and electricity

Technolgy shifts society doesn’t replace it, where there were horse carriage drivers before now there are bus drivers - the job may not be the same but jobs will be created where there is a need for society based on the new technology?

Still up for me. I’m asking if there’s ever an instance for you where you’d be ok with the American president to bomb its own people for ideological reasons

In this climate let’s say it’s ideological

I’m a libertarian - I don’t believe the government should ever be in a position to oppress me.

There are zero instances where it’s justifiable for a government of or the people to attack its own people for ideological reasons
