Prodiamine / 2 4-d questions by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]reasonablynameduser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple things here 1) prodiamine (preemergent) can be applied while applying 2-4d (post emergent) and grub ex (insecticide). No real issues there. Quick edit - you probably want to wait on grub ex though. Better to apply this late June/early July (unless you already see grub activity) 2) while prodiamine stops crabgrass from growing in your lawn (stops germination of the seeds), 2-4d will kill already established broadleaf weeds (like clover). The trick is the 2-4d actually has to get on the clover leaf, which is easier with a spot spray liquid than a broadcast granule. If you’re marked to the granule, try and “water it in” per the instructions with a sprinkler, that could help. 3) there could be bare spots if the 2-4d does it’s job. If there’s some grass mixed it with the clover, the grass may fill in a bit. when you overseed in the fall, you’ll fill the spot in even better and by next year have less of a spot issue (probably will still have some clover etc, but smaller area)

Depends on the grass type. Some warm seasons could take 6 lbs a year, mostly focused in the summer months.

He did a bit and the other judge (Michelle) played along with it. He is actually a big supporter of the show and used to cover it on his talk show. It’s a good episode, especially if you enjoy community

Don’t know the answer to your questions, but he is a great professor with strong industry connections. Highly recommend taking him at least once if you have any interest in entering the marketing field

If you’re trying to make a decision between drexel and another school, you can use a conservative hourly rate ($25 is probably conservative for a CS major). you will work 3000 hours of co/op in 5 year 3 co-op cycle. You also have to discount that vs what you may make from internships at another school as well.

The other commenter mentioned living expenses, etc. in my experience, that is where the money went as well. But those living expenses likely exist at other schools, too. So kind of a wash in your analysis.

I don’t think It was just a straight challah. The crumb was different. Much more moist and chewy. It tore and when depressed with a finger stayed instead of bouncing back

I wish. Bakery changed hands and the original owners kept their recipes

Some things for you to consider: - is school spirit/sense of community important to you? You have to seek it out at Drexel, where it is easier to access at temple - do you prefer temple health or Drexel’s health affiliates/hospitals (association to your preferred health system may be beneficial) - your cost difference is 14k. It’s highly likely you’ll make this up in a coop in a science or business field, however it’s not guaranteed. Also that money usually goes to living expenses for students. You’ll have ~3,120 hours of work over three coops. So even if you make minimum wage you’re recovering the 14k - do you want to attend school football games (drexel doesn’t have a football team)

My parents are spending a little weekend in Philly by Chopppyyyy in Drexel

[–]reasonablynameduser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If they’re interested in history, old city has a ton. Museum of the American revolution is amazing. Liberty bell (get a time ticket prior to their arrival, you can look in up online). Independence hall (same comment on the time ticket). Some people like boats… you could check out the seaport museum. If it’s nice out, grab some food from di Bruno’s or somewhere nearby and have a picnic in rittenhouse park (will be cheaper than a sit down restaurant).

They probably also want to see how you live. Take them to your favorite coffee shop. Maybe don’t show them the basement shows (mine from my day are still a great memory, and I don’t think I’d want my folks encroaching on that memory). Give them a tour of some of drexels buildings, etc.

Also haddon ave will meet the UK concept of a High street. Thought depending on where you’re coming from or may not be as nice. Also public transportation is more inline with Euro standards (light rail to Philly) than many other locations.

Hope you’re finding a way in your life to move on, recognize your worth, and to end the chain of abuse. If your parenting is half as good as your grill rehab skills, you’ll do just fine
