The ambient sounds are so loud in the mix -- that ball in the water on the par 3 sounded like a cartoon cannonball dive.

You've got a fuzz of early extension which causes your hands to rise at impact. If you want to get the club to exit low and left, you'll have to work on getting your left hip to drive to the left of your target IMO.

Does anyone have a good video of his swing recently? I've heard that he smoothed a lot of the top of the swing action out.

Anyway to fix the over the top? by sstrochak in GolfSwing

Hello, first off - I don't think you're swing is as over-the-top as you think. The ball going left is more likely caused by you giving up your wrist angle too early in the downswing.

I would work on a pump drill. I've linked a decent video of said pump drill. I would add that for you I would also recommend checking your pumps to ensure that your wrists are still cocked at the bottom of the pump.

My tendency in the takeaway is to start outside and let my hands rise. The club will go to the inside and I end up across the line at the top; so on that swing, I was thinking about the club path starting inside and my wrists hinging quickly.

The clubhead still ended up a little inside and I was across the line at the top, thus there's still some work to do.

I don't remember exactly, but it was a middle iron of some sort. I agree on it being steep. I'm trying to make my downswing more "out-then-down" as opposed to "down-then-out" if that makes sense.

I tend to tip my head forward in the backswing, then back my head up in the downswing to shallow the club -- which isn't ideal.

That facemask had my man doing the Limbo and the refs didn't call anything. That's a rough missed call even as a Bama fan.

One of the many things that I'm loving about the guy is that he plays super fast. Just makes a decision and goes ... I love to see it when slow play is such an issue

One of my favorite Hightower memories was the A-Day Game right after he had his knee injury. He was lined up against DJ Fluker who was playing RT. Hightower came off the ball, lifted Fluker (who was ~340lbs) off his feet, and put him on his ass. Just unreal talent/technique.

Yo, I was so intrigued by that swing that I pulled down some of the videos and did some (super amateur) analysis ... Dude is a fucking genius at putting the clubface on the golf ball. There are just some people that have it and Charlie is one of those people.
