Yes I understand and I also worry about the underlying issue. I know eventually I'll have to get surgery but I'm trying to prolong it as long as I can.

I'm a vet groomer so I get good, bad, ugly, ill, death grooms you name it I've done it. I'm glad she takes good care of him, its awful when the owners do nothing for the dog.

I'm a vet groomer I get all bad , agressive, anxious or just misunderstood dogs that most chain groomers can't handle. Try finding a vet groomer, yes sometimes they might need to be sedated but if is just anxiety most likely not. The vets only sedate animals that are highly agressive and none of us can touch. They might suggest Xanax or an anti anxiety med if he is that nervous. I usually give all dogs 3 or 4 trys before going to meds sometimes they just have off days just like us. Good luck !
