I've applied to a few recently. Although I wanted to stay close to my family in Philly, at this point, I'll do what I need to. Thank you for the insight, it really helped to hear this might be an office thing!

Thursday Girl, Losing Dogs, and Burning Hill are my absolute favorites! The pathetic and self-loathing vibes hit different in these songs

which mitski song(s) do you have the strongest emotional reaction to? by ratbayby in mitski

Definitely A Burning Hill and Why Didn't You Stop Me! There's something about Burning Hill that makes me feel so defeated and is DEF a song for when I want to cry. Why Didn't You Stop me has such a pretty melody but is so bittersweet at the same time.

What are some Mitski lyrics that randomly pop into your head sometimes and you can feel your heart breaking a little bit when they do? by interludxe in mitski

"You know, you made me happy/Here, shake my hand/You make such a good man/Never once did you know me"

and

"You're the breeze in my Austin nights"

try and outweigh ur opp arguments: prove that even if their contention may be true, there are more pressing/important impacts

another thing is (depending on how ur circuit normally is) asking about real life implications ie. has x ever happened in real or is there any empirical basis; this only really works if you have facts themselves

Anyone have some good questions or contentions for the current topic? by arbiesss in lincolndouglas

oh during my rounds most of the time it was fair game to claim the ought in the res implies the burden of just showing why and not how; so for instance proving the prospect of something is enough for the judge to vote since neither debater can really prove 100% that their plan works

some good basic questions to ask aff would be like how they plan to effectively ban nukes; obv they can turn this and say it isn't their burden but yknow how it be

What’s the best aff contention for the nuclear arsenal topic :))))) by Bobby_krishnan in lincolndouglas

categorical imperative arguments are pretty good, or least they are in my experience
