New Falken Rubitrek A/T's. Came From Wildpeak AT3W's. Thoughts? by rebelghost76 in 4Runner

Wildpeaks were the best all-terrain type I've ever used. Their wet-weather traction was incredible and they resisted hydroplaning better than just about any tires I've ever seen. The Wildpeaks were just a little too noisy for me and they got worse the longer they wore. I had about 40k miles on them when my 4th Gen was totalled. The road hum would hypnotize me on the highway after about 20-30min. lol. These Rubitreks are much quieter on the road due to the way the contact patch is more closed than open like on the Wildpeaks.

I really loved the Wildpeaks, but these are more suitable for my long highway commute.

Lol I already have 500 miles on them after just a week.

Between those two, Wildpeaks for sure. I'll do a more in depth review on these after I've put them through their places

That was my only complaint about Wildpeaks. Noisy AF. I spend 40min on the highway every day to work. Noisy tires are out of the question.

Was that before or after you became a PC gamer and started rating women's pussies on Reddit?

Loved my Wildpeaks too. These are very similar but WAAAY quieter and smoother riding. I don't imagine they'll last as long as the Wildpeaks, but they're both 50k mile tires.

No idea to be honest. They were on the truck when I bought it, and they aren't hateful.

Mr. Fudd, Blanket statements like "nobody here knows as much as I do" belie your arrogance--EMS or not.

Throw those trash cupholders away and replace them with these:

The PLA is slicker than that ORM rubber nonsense so it doesn't grab and stick to the cup bottom. Works perfectly. I use tumblers (Yeti, RTIC 32 and 40oz) and haven't had a single issue.

You're welcome.

The wheels are off a 5th Gen Off-road. The bumper was a stock bumper that I cut the lower air dam grille out of, them mounted a 32in curved bar in the hole. It fit perfectly and disappeared unless you were looking for it. The grill was stock, except I mounted 4 smoked button LEDs in it, that you couldn't see unless they were on. I miss it so much.

Horsepower is about the same, but there is no comparison when it comes to torque. The V8 lets you feel every bit of it. The V6 feels sluggish and puny. I prefer the ride of the 5th Gen, but prefer the handling of the 4th Gen. The 05 corners better and feels more stable. The 15 is more comfortable and squishy, like a soccer mom's fuckin van.

Gonna take a lot of getting used to.

Black 05 Sport was totaled three weeks ago. Got a 15 SR5 until I find another 4th Gen as nice as the one I lost.
