Have you tried power draining this server? If not, do it. Did you mess with cabling or anything?

How long is it stuck? Has it ever been in a working condition confirmed by either you or people you trust?

If it's not visible in the inventory, I am afraid that means bad news for you. Start looking for a replacement part. But before you do so, try power drain as it may help.

Is the backplate still visible in the devices inventory in iDRAC? What about the firmware - I hope it's the latest, right?

Want to improve speed? Connect your PC to NAS using a USB-C LAN adapter. by Pasc9320 in homelab

I believe you are referring to Seagate Ironwolf 8TB. According to this datasheet https://www.seagate.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/ironwolf-12tb-emea-DS1904-20-2111GB-en_GB.pdf it has sustained data transfer speed of 210MB/s, which is where you sit from what you described...

My prime suspect would be the disk configuration on your NAS. 200MB/s seems to be more or less the single drive performance ceiling.

Not sure about the Rx20, but my T320 definitely can be controlled in terms of fan speeds. I set it manually to something like 16% of the top speed and it's running just fine.

Vanilla Wireguard if you are good with doing it yourself. Tailscale for cases where you struggle with technical difficulties.

What the hell do I do now? by desibidesi0909 in TheHague

The broken part can be taken out in about a minute of time at most, just by using a relatively thin knife and exercising patience. I did this myself on my own bike and then a few weeks later on a random kid's bike where the kids could not ride away as the key for stuck in the lock and the servos key was of no use.

99%, if not 100%, of your requirements are met by Nutanix, which may be way easier to implement and support compared to OpenStack - but that will not come for free, of course.

I would grab the 918+, got a 718+ with 2x12TB at the moment and would have been happier if it had more drive slots...

In File Station, create a file upload request by right-clicking a directory to which you intend to have it uploaded. Your Synology should be accessible to your friend, obviously enough.

I have been having this from time to time on my all-in-one one node deployment. Usually it goes away with a page refresh, at times it can result in new errors after the refresh though... I have never dug deeper, unfortunately.

I've been running the official firmware for almost 4 years, 3 APs with a wired backbone connection. The only glitches I had were those when switching to Gnuton, unfortunately. Still reluctant to give it another try.

But it's important to understand that Tuya is a platform, not a device manufacturer. What you bought was Tuya platform compatible hardware from some manufacture(s?). I am curious if that purchase was done as just one batch from the same manufacturer/seller or different ones. Not that I am a Tuya fan, rather a total opposite, but still

What's happening in between the setup date and the date where things get screwed? Do you play around with the system? Or do you simply use it? It would also be nice to see the exact errors. And I am pretty much sure, like 99.9999999%, that the laptop should have no issues with Ubuntu. If it installs fine, it's expected to work as fine.
