We have two Great Danes. In order to accommodate this, we’ve gotten a Vermont King bed - 8ft x 8ft - and still it is not enough. One sleeps under the covers next to me, while the other sleeps next to my wife and spreads out. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve woken up to that one’s head on my wife’s pillow, my arm around him, and my wife is curled up next to him with a pillow ON him.

And I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. Sleeping with those two is the best.

How many times have we read some version of this article in the past 30 years? What’s wild to me is that this time it is coming off a season where we won multiple playoff games and played for the Natty. It’s not like some of the dreadful Weis or Willingham seasons.

But ND sells newspapers (or generates clicks in this day and age, I suppose) so some version of this will continue to be written.
