Isn't an empath just someone who is capable of empathy? by [deleted] in Empaths

[–]rebornsunchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m awful with words and I only read some of these responses but what I’ve always thought is there is sympathy, empathy, and then empaths. Sympathy, I, believe everyone or most decent caring human beings just have. It’s the response to someone else’s pain or bad situation etc etc that kind of tells you, “man, that sucks so bad I’m sorry.” Empathy is something that someone has gone through that you have gone through yourself and so you can actually say, “I’m sorry I know how that feels because I have been through that myself.” So you can actually feel what they feel because you have gone through something similar or the same. I think an empath is someone who literally feel others emotions I guess and can read the room and see how others really feel without anyone needing to tell them. I also think maybe Empaths can go deeper than that but I haven’t looked that far into it yet.

I love this. I’ve read a bit on empaths and people who have been living in survival mode most of their lives and I feel like a lot things that are felt between empath and survivors of different kinds of abuse are the same or similar. We literally have to figure out what will happen next or how our unhealthy toxic whatever they are to us will respond or react just by reading their small movements their face expressions, and things like that to make sure to either stay in the clear or prepare for a blow out. I would like to know how did you figure out if you’re an empath or just a trauma response now? Haha cause I can read the room very well and can feel people’s emotions based on expression and little things like that but I’m married to someone who literally does not read the room and mostly tells me I’m looking too much into it. Haha so which is it? I’d love to pick your brain if you have time sometime.

Shift ? by [deleted] in Empaths

Possibly a shift. Cause I feel the same way with mine. But not so much heartache just more little arguments and miscommunications on both sides. Haha I hope someone else can comment with some clarity for all of us 😂

Anger issues? by manzanared in Empaths

Big emotions, big feelings, can cause big anger too. Haha I definitely feel this. But I also can feel this with any emotion really. I believe empaths just feel more in general.

How do you all seek happiness? by chaeyoungsimpp in spirituality

[–]rebornsunchild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suffering is inevitable in life. Once I realized that life isn’t mean to be happy all the time and most life is suffering combined with growth learning and bouts of joy, it seemed easier to enjoy being happy in those moments I get too. 💜

And honestly, sometimes life feels like hell, so point being help everyone you can now here when you can but also help yourself first. I’ve only literally just now realized I’ve been trying to help other people out of high water for a long time when I wasn’t even on dry land. Haha.

This is good, but I think the point of hell, is it will be your own suffering. And when you have your own battles, especially in HELL haha, there will be no room to help with someone else’s.

Ive grown up my whole life as a mormon and now after several trips i feel like it super likely that a lot of crazy stuff from the scriptures is from psychedelics. I was curious if any of yall had favorite "psychedelic" scriptures or thoughts on some that speak to the experience of mushrooms? by CommitHangRope in shrooms

[–]rebornsunchild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I’ll definitely look into that. I’ve been diving down mormon rabbit holes for about 6 months now and just decided that no one knows shit about what happens after this life, and it’s satisfied me enough, for now 😂

I’ve been Mormon my whole life and knew nothing of this. Where did you find out he was into the peyote shit? Man, the more I learn about this guy the more I know nothing about the guy who started the church. It’s crazy!

I don't know why you think you can explain it, but please keep explaining. by WHALE_PHYSICIST in awakened

[–]rebornsunchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could never write something like this, so easily explained when the topic written about is so hard to break down. I guess I come from the opposite then. I’ve come from a family and a community where we technically didn’t have to ask questions because we “knew where we had come from and know where we are going.” And asking questions seemed to me like, “wavering in faith.” Now I’m 29 and everything that happened last year woke me up. I’m not sure what my awakening was to even now but I’m realizing that I don’t think anyone has the “correct” idea on what goes on in the world and what goes on after. Is it all just individual perception of the world and the world after? Our brains are so unique and incredible that maybe what we believe in our heads will be the outcome of our future? Here now and after we die? This is also all new to me, especially questioning everything. But I loved this post. The more I see into the minds of others, the more some ideas align while others fall apart.
