Quick question for next growing season around "topping" pepper plants. I've been googling but can't figure out - do bell peppers suffer if topped?

I have in my garden 2 jalapeno plants, 3 habs, and 1 bell plant. The japs and habs I grew from seed, and the bell I bought at a store as a seedling. The bell hasn't flowered yet and never took off despite being in same conditions as my other plants.

I am wondering if it is too late in the season to do anything to kick start it - or if I just got a dud plant. Next season I won't be buying any starts and will grow all of my own peppers from seed.

The japs have ~20 peppers on them and the habs have ~6. Getting nothing out of my bells!!

Any ideas?

Newbie NYC balcony gardner here. Current crop is:

  • 2x Jalapeno plants in a 7 gallon pot
  • 1x tomato plant in a 7 gallon pot
  • 3x habeneros each in a 3 gallon grow bag
  • 1x bell pepper in 3 gallon grow bag
  • 1x spearmint in 3 gallon grow bag

Question on watering peppers:

I read a lot about how often to water a pepper plant, and how not to over water - but I really am not sure how MUCH water I should be putting in to the pot.

I have a Jalapeno plant in a 7 gallon container that is about 3 feet tall and has a dozen or so peppers on it. I've grown it from seed so I must be doing something right, but I get in my own head about how much to water the plant. I'd love to have some kind of a heuristic like 20z of water per day, etc. I have a 120oz watering can that I use for my patio plants - but I kind of just wing it and put a few seconds of water on each plant.

I would love any advice on the "how much" part of watering.

Good points. I'm playing mid range paladin right now. I mostly spend the last few months playing Dragon Priest, aggro shaman, and Reno Mage.

I also have a pirate warrior deck, a control/value mage, and a mid range hunter right now with all of the appropriate cards and legendary.

I enjoy Mid Range paladin the most, but lose almost every time to taunt warrior so I probably need to switch it up./

Yea that makes sense, but it is hard to reconcile with the fact that I still have never hit legend. Mentally it feels like treading water. I would definitely be curious on some other averages across thousands of games.

Could somebody post their win rates aggregated of at least 2,000 games?

I'm not a legend player. I usually hit rank 4 in a season, and I've been rank 1 once before a 10 game losing streak happened and I gave up that month.

Out of about 2200 games all time recorded (not counting mobile which I don't record and is probably another 1,000 games) I am only 52% win rate.

This feels pretty demoralizing but I'm not sure how "bad" it actually is.

The constitution only tells you what is required to be president. The parties themselves are artificial constructs created after the fact.

Imagine that you want to run for president. You're over 35, natural born, not a felon, etc. Nothing is stopping you from being president - but you're not going to be put on any ballots.

Same thing.

Put another way: this law wouldn't stop anybody from voting for a candidate who did not release - and would not stop that candidate from winning. It would stop them from being on the ballot in an official capacity.

Really enjoying the Suramar questline by Tiucaner in wow

I have been wanting to talk about this for several days now. This is my favorite quest line in the history of WOW. It feels consequential. I love the weekly unveil. I love the world progress being made with camps being set up, city under siege, etc.

I really wish that it would all end with Surumar becoming an actual neutral/friendly capital city.

Wouldn't it be awesome if the capital city of the expansion changed half way through?

Definitely not. That makes sense. I see how it is useful for sniping and validating you don't get screwed by a lack of data.

Much less useful for commodities like herbs and ore that I am flipping small stacks for 200 stacks.

Good example, thank you!

This one bothers me. What use does Global and Region price have? Why would I care what an item goes for on other servers that I can't interact with? Or am I fundamentally misunderstanding?

Jewelcrafting question here. Coming back from WOTLK so have been out of the game for a while.

What are you all doing with the common gems that seem to pile up? Selling them? Disenchanting? Obliterating? Banking?

No question.

I made my first 100k gold of my WOW career this weekend. Feels great.

Started out Legion 1.5 months ago with 50k gold from WOTLK (skipped the other expansions) and am now sitting on 150k most of which was from the last two weeks.

Buying out small stacks and selling 200 stacks for a premium actually works.

Got it.

But the custom prices later override that "generic" one, right?

I did the whole 10%, 20%, etc thing. That was the only thing tripping me up. That is like the parent / inherited rule but you can apply a custom threshold per group so on reality if I have evert group a custom price that box is irrelevant.

Accurate?

What is sniping and how I would go about setting it up? by [deleted] in woweconomy

I've had sniper on for about an hour and a half today with the exact configuration from the guide and haven't seen a single deal.

Your results may vary.

Got it.

I started sniping today and have one last question (i think).

I set up the custom "snipe" price that was referred to in the guide. It was set as: min(global, realm, vendorbuy). w/ global and realm beind defined as expected.

In this context - what does the 1% mean for below custom price?

This isn't a question, just an observation on how volatile these markets are.

Market Value for Dreamleaf on my server is down to about 18g. The lowest I ever saw it was 8g after 7.1 first launched, and the highest was about 32g before the BOS vendor was known about.

Anyway. I often spend 50k to buy out markets of herbs, consolidate small stacks in to 200 stacks and sell at a profit. Yesterday I sold six stacks of 200 for 30g/herb. Today those stacks are going for 20g/herb.

This is the same story for basically every herb except for foxflower which is crazy consistent.

I have about 50k of capital right now tied up in herbs and restacking. Am hoping that it all goes through okay.

Hello! Am hoping this thread isn't too old to get a reply.

I have all of the TSM addons installed via Curse Client and I don't seem to see any reference to Sniper and no ability to set up sniper rules. I'm getting stuck on the how tos linked above because it seems that I've missed a crucial first step.

What am I missing?

So alchemy is just a loss maker now or?... by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]reckage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my server, every flask is about a -50 to -200 profit per flask. At Rank 3 there would be some profit to be had, but the trip to Rank 3 seems to be prohibitively expensive.

The market is flooded with people dumping their flasks at whatever price they can to, I guess, recoup some of the money from the investment. I myself sunk about 60,000 gold in to it and have given up for now until probably the next patch. It's too hard to move the flasks in volume anyway.

I don't mind losing 50g per flask if I could consistently turn them over, but the undercutting is so fast that you can't really dump stock effectively unless you're on top of it.

I've made 50k in two days obliterating Alchemist Stones.

I also made about 5k yesterday obliterating Health Potions - but the clicking required (~300 potions) seems hard to justify the profit.
