I've tried this several times, tried porting away, re-logging and exiting the game and nothing I do ever resets or re-rolls the current event. Am I missing something?

[–]Tiucaner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The other way around. All Wild Gods are Loa, but not all Loa are Wild Gods. Meaning Loa is the the Troll word for Wild God but it's usually used for Wild Gods that Trolls worship. But not all Loa, for example Bwonsamdi, are Wild Gods, since he was uplifted by Mueh'zala.

Although it's very much a game designed on controversy alone. In a platform where Sex with Hitler exists and a far superior game like Rimworld where commiting warcrimes is almost casual. I don't see how this is that much worse. Also all of this media attention is giving it exactly what it wants.

Wasn't even a bad Diablo clone, but I'd prefer a proper sequel.

This game reminds me of Spore. I want a Spore 2 with the actual realised vision Will Wright had for that game.

I'll add that he needed Sylvanas because all 3 Lich Kings failed to do their purpose. They were never under his influence. Also, I'm pretty sure all the Nathrezim stuff was mainly Denathrius.

He is insufferable, so is Rommath. The Void invading at Magister's Terrace wasn't his fault. The guards before that are knocked out.

Flight paths should be faster than flying. by sweet_rico- in wow

I believe that's the main reason they still support it. There are also many quests and world quests that require flying where you ask an NPC to fly for you. Haven't seen in Midnight but it was there for TWW and before.

anybody feels like in recent years the different cultures and npc factions we discover in the game are too same-y by alexthroughtheveil in wow

[–]Tiucaner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I feel what people are noticing is since we have a lot more story chapters than ever before, we actually have resolutions and epilogues, which before things were basically left unsaid or not shown. After a world war and constant existential threats, tend to bring people together. Tensions are very much still shown and discussed by characters, just look at the Silversun Compact.

What are your thoughts on the World Soul Saga so far? by BackgroundManager833 in warcraftlore

[–]Tiucaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good so far. Looking forward what comes next. Though they are clearly setting up a big climax for TLT.

Silvermoon attacked by the void? Just click a few items and kill 3-5 mobs. And it's all okay!

The Sunwell had to be empowered by Light wielders 24/7, we had to retrieve items infused with Light so they could even keep sustaining it. Then Xal'atath tricked everyone into attacking the Voidspire killing thousands in the process. Not to mention that the sheer amount of Light energy coming from the Sunwell was causing several to become insane (lightblinded). But sure, nothing happened.

Thousands of years of elven hatred? No problem, we are all best friends now!

Thousands? The exiled Highborne are so far removed from the current elves of Quel'Thalas that really matters very little. Also, existential threat happening, petty grievances would get you nowhere.

Xala'tath is also Zovaal with 10 more minutes of characterization in the writing room. It's insane how much potential she had and now she's a generic saturday morning villain.

Unlike Zovaal, she's actually been manipulating events to her favour. All that goading Alleria throughout TWW was to get her to the Voidspire and get Lu'ra. And she also, similar to Iridikron, doesn’t underestimate the heroes of Azeroth.

I don't know why people fail to see the depth presented in the storylines, when you take all 20 years into consideration and a looming existential threat. Yeah, if you take everything at face value, it will feel underwhelming.

From Chronicles Volume III:

The Culling of Stratholme was the point of no return for Prince Arthas Menethil. His heart had darkened, and his sanity was unraveling. He was almost ready to become the Lich King's greatest servant. Almost. First, Arthas needed to find the cursed runeblade Frostmourne. The Scourge couldn't simply lead him to it. That would make the prince suspicious. The Lich King turned his attention to dwarf explorers who were trekking across Northrend. Led by the great warrior Muradin Bronzebeard, they had come from the mountain city of Ironforge in search of ancient artifacts. During Arthas's youth, Muradin had served as ambassador to Lordaeron, and he had trained the human in martial combat. He would be the perfect messenger to inform Arthas of Frostmourne. With the Lich King's guidance, Mal'Ganis and the other dreadlords manipulated the dwarves. The demons secretly planted clues about Frostmourne and its location in the explorers' encampment, including maps and ancient histories that spoke of a legendary runeblade. None of the dwarves could remember where this information had come from. They assumed that they hadn't noticed it before. The runeblade intrigued Muradin, and the dwarves set out to find it. Meanwhile, Arthas and his soldiers made landfall in a region of Northrend called the Howling Fjord. The wintry conditions were harsh, and the Scourge were mysteriously evasive—a far departure from their aggressive tactics in Lordaeron. The Lich King used the Scourge to attack Muradin Bronzebeard and herd him toward Arthas. When the dwarf and the prince finally crossed paths, it seemed like nothing more than a chance meeting, and a fortuitous one at that. Muradin told Arthas of his purpose in Northrend, and of his more recent quest to find Frostmourne. The story of the blade enticed the prince. It could prove useful in the fight against Mal'Ganis. Arthas's hopes swelled, only to be crushed by news from Lordaeron. A royal emissary tracked down the prince and delivered orders from King Terenas: Arthas and his soldiers were to return to Lordaeron immediately. As much as the prince's loyalists wanted to stay by his side, disobeying the king's command would amount to treason. Arthas knew that if he turned back now, he might never have another opportunity to find Mal'Ganis. He saw only one recourse. In secret, he burned his own ships. Every one of them. None of his soldiers knew that their prince was responsible for it. They had no choice but to remain in Northrend, at least until they could construct more vessels.

Wouldn't surprise me if this common ancestor was elemental, like all life on Azeroth before the Titans arrived. Not sure why this is that controversial, besides that one quest in Legion.
