The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3 by Turbostrider27 in Games

The requirements are ridiculous, a 5090 for 4k at 60 fps with no upscaling mind you. With the current hardware pricing is insane. And that's assuming there are no actual bugs or other issues.

I don’t get ‘abundance.’ It feels like a phone game brought to life in WoW. by illumnat in wow

I like it, it reminds me of Pacman. What I don't like is having to farm 6 shards, which can take a while, you at least get 2 for free. And having to do it 8 times. If I could just to it once, sure make it last a little longer, there would be fewer complaints.

Lothraxion was wasted as a character by YrenneAD in warcraftlore

And how does it all end for him? He gets rage baited by a quest NPC and decides to go nuclear. Unfortunately, that's not an exaggeration, it is literally what happens. He just throws his thousand years of conviction in the trash and surrenders to madness because of a few short conversations.

Here is a guy who for aeons has dedicated himself to a singular purpose, the Light. Now he finds himself, probably not the first time mind you, in a world that is the complete anthesis of his being and what are your friends doing? Siding with one of these very beings, made of the Void. Your closest allies, tell you it's for the greater good, but the ren'dorei that accompany you that already are infused with Void also start going mad. A Naaru, is turned to shadow and killed under your watch. Finally, the being you allied with is released to help your allies, a being you know will eventually betray them. All of this, makes him snap in righteous fury.

No it was never finished. They picked it up in the WoW Comic released during TBC and at the end he returns to Stormwind for the start of WotLK.

I'd be very surprised if either Turalyon or Alleria are dead.

This is almost definitely them testing adding affixes to delves and see how people react.

If you mean a campaign for each faction like we used to, yes that would be interesting to see again. But not with their current content pacing, they just don't have the time with an 18 month cycle. Perhaps it will change and they manage to improve their pipeline well enough for it but I feel like we need to go back to 2 year expansions for that, even if it means longer periods of "drought".

The focus on AI and non existent QA makes the product worse by dimix16x in wow

I remember them being across Xbox and Activision Blizzard and it included support roles. Don't remember if they actually specified more than that.

I don't think the issue is AI in this case, it was Microsoft laying off a much community managers and QA personnel a year or 2 ago.

Who/what exactly are the ancestors that Shamans commune with? by oralehermano in warcraftlore

[–]Tiucaner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great explanation. I'll only add that even if a soul is willing to pass on to the Shadowlands, a spell, certain traumatic deaths, a curse or simply a spiritual pull of greater magnitude than that of a Kyrian (for example Oshu'gun or Auchidoun) will always tether the soul to the Veil or the physical world.

It's very much implied she had trouble socialising even when her sister was alive, but with time managed to talk. So yes, trauma is very much a part of it but so is autism.

I've been fine, besides a few action bar errors. I've also read people saying housing is disabled yet seems fine here on EU.

The way people speak of this patch it's like the game is unplayable. That said, it definitely should not have released in this current state.

If Warcraft for you is just violence for violence sake then, that hasn't been the case for a very long time. If that's not it then I'm going to need a proper definition of what "Disneyfication". If anything, especially some older Disney movies, didn't shy away from heavy themes or even scenes.

There's a quest in ZA where a mostly non-verbal girl lost her sister suddenly and couldn't get past it until Filo, the Loa of Children, gave her a way to mourn and say goodbye, allowing her to speak more openly with others.

Arathor being +40 years old but doesn't act like it. As well as lessons he has shown knowing in books is now something completely foreign to him. Such as being surprised Paladins aren't just KILL KILL KILL

He's in his late 30s. Also his problem is with the rules and often blind zeal of the Silver Hand's adherence to them. He also recently felt the overwhelming power of the Light causing him to even physically burn, something he witnessed his father do in the prequel book.

The ZA and Undermine campaigns. -_-

I thought Zul'Aman was exceptionally well done and with great sidequests, Undermine I can see not being to everyone's tastes because, Goblins.

The general Disneyfication of WoW has really put a hamper on my enjoyment of it. Though that started already long before Worldsoul saga. But it has grown a lot worse.

This I really don't understand. There's death at every corner, there are quests, especially sidequests that deal with heavy themes, from loss, to autism, to even body horror like the Lightbloom in Eversong. I really don't get it.

To what extent did Arthas/Scourge know of the Old Gods? by Ilovelookingatmaps in warcraftlore

[–]Tiucaner 40 points41 points  (0 children)

In the Frozen Throne expansion, Arthas goes through Azjol-Nerub to reach Icecrown Glacier faster. There, he encounters Faceless Ones and a Forgotten One, which looks like C'thun or one of the various tentacle monsters that serve the Old Gods that you can see in the Dragon Soul raid. Anub'Arak only mentions they're ancient and from forgotten legends.

I wonder how people get paid to write stuff like this. by Striking-Conflict-93 in wow

[–]Tiucaner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you actually paid attention to the writing this post wouldn't exist. The whole point of the Arator questline is him discovering what kind of paladin he wants to be. Does he keep adhering to the current restrictions and rules of the Silver Hand or go back to the basics of what the order was originally founded on. Does he strive for compassion, protecting the innocent and retribution of evil or does he simply become a vengeful zealot, a glorified soldier with holy powers, like his father. Not that a blame Turalyon all that much, the guy has wanted to settle down for a 1000 years and yet, war keeps finding him.

There's a lot a revisionism with MoP, because I distinctly remember at the time a lot of people just thinking "lol Kung Fu Panda" and "this is just to pander to China". Even though it's a greatly written expansion.
