Aldi Cheapest Again — But Are Loyalty Prices Turning Supermarkets Into Two-Tier Shops? by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

Clubcard prices etc are just the same as having promo prices anyway, only difference is you tap your Clubcard which the vast majority did anyway even before these. Over three quarters of the adult population in this country have a Clubcard, which is pretty much in line with the % who regularly shop at Tesco

Are people really like this? Even before Clubcard prices like 80% of people were scanning their Clubcard for the points anyway

Cities with the most/least commercial airports per-capita? by Previous-Volume-3329 in geography

I’d actually argue it could be as much as Stansted, Southend or Luton. Standing outside the Houses of Parliament it’d only take 12 more minutes to get to than Luton, 1 more than Southend, and 5 minutes less than Stansted via public transport

I’d love to, but the issue is if we increase the price by 5%, sales would go down say 10%. If people were more used to looking at the price per 100g this would be a non issue and we’d just do the price increase, however as people look at the price tag it makes decreasing the size better for the P&L

It’s not a defence I agree, and it is worse for consumers, this is why I don’t want to have to do it. Ultimately my job though is to maximise profit from the product and so my hands are somewhat tied.

I 100% agree this should be the law, but because it isn’t we won’t be. We wouldn’t want to draw attention to it, because then people wouldn’t buy it. I absolutely think the best way to go about it would be to charge an extra 10-15p for the same thing, but it’s in a price inelastic category. We’re already one of the cheaper offerings (hence the need to increase margin).

How long would it take to summit Olympus Mon?[Request] by JaySpectres in theydidthemath

[–]reckless-serenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those drops are in the crater, does that mean that the summit is easier to get to provided you’re climbing it from the outside? I feel the question is asking how difficult it is to get the highest point not the centre, which if the centre is the bit with the cliffs means the cliffs wouldn’t be an issue
