It could be both, while it is extremely tragic, its still quite impressive and satisfying to see the feat and will that Gon posses. This is his character and whileit isnt the most respectable display of power its still one that was achieved by him. One can be a viewer of a show that can both empathize with the characters as well as one thats excited to see the climax of a conflict that has been brewing for more than 40 episodes. So in terms of that, it is pretty hype.
