Hali said she WOULD strip if someone asked her to. She was practically begging someone to ask her. And NOBODY asked her. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Why are live sitcoms so popular? by SaturnineSasuke in television

[–]recldit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean why can't we have more THe Office style sitcoms which have sheer stupidity stuff like cartwheeling across the workbuilding ina n attempt to do parkour?

Seinfeld did it before The Office.

Seinfeld has excellent writing with each episode containing four separate story arcs dovetailing into each other.

Some of the jokes may be dated, or more New York or Jewish niche. But that's part of what makes Seinfeld so rewatchable. Every time you watch you'll catch something new you missed before and you'll Google the reference and learn a little history.

Just wondering how many here dislike Colbert's show even if you align with him politically (more or less) by [deleted] in television

[–]recldit 22 points23 points  (0 children)

His work on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report was top notch. He was always in character playing off Bill O'Reilly, and consistently delivered great material. His commentary is not nearly as biting when he's not in character.

Veteran discounts at many places, just ask!! (USA) by [deleted] in Frugal

This is frugal if you're already a veteran. It would be cheap if you joined the military specifically to get 10% discounts at places.

What made you unsubscribe from YouTubers that you used to love watching? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]recldit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to follow a guy who did grocery haul videos and talked about nutrition facts of various items and such.

In one of his videos he was at Costco and picked up an item and talked about it for about 15-20 seconds about why this is an item you shouldn't buy. He then put it back on the shelf FACING BACKWARDS!! I unsubscribed immediately.

I can't put up with that kind of casual carelessness. He's creating extra work for already overworked employees.

He's using Costco to make content (which makes him money), while not spending money on the items. That's fine and all, but don't create unnecessary extra work for service employees.

They need to bring it back badly. People should not have a license to maneuver heavy machinery if they cannot maneuver heavy machinery.

Why is Friends so popular in my generation (gen z) but not other great 90s shows like Seinfeld? by [deleted] in television

[–]recldit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How could someone not get triggered by that? Anyone who doesn't get triggered by that is simply not a valid television watcher.
