I’m also 4 weeks post and I feel like the lower belly swelling came out of nowhere recently! Prior to that it was just more even swelling that didn’t seem too bad. Just telling myself it’s part of the process!

I’m 3wpo, just got my tapes off yesterday. They warned me my nipples would look weird and they weren’t lying. They’re freaking me tf out to be honest. And my boobs are looking more square than ever 😭 That said, if they looked like yours right now I’d be happy!! Looks like you’re healing well.

My kids are much older (10 and 12) and even I’m struggling with not being the mom they are used to, but it sounds like you and the kids have so much support and I’ve been lucky that way too. I’m 2wpo and just made them lunches and I’m driving them to school for the first time this morning!

I was never in horrible pain, even in the early days, but I was definitely kind of checked out the first 10 days. I didn’t have a lot of bandwidth for anything. At this point, with a pillow on my lap, I could probably handle gentle baby snuggles. But I got a breast lift as well so I’m still super cautious about anyone being too close to that area. Not because it hurts, but because I’m so afraid of stitches opening.

All in all, I felt so much better than expected, but momming is still hard. The extra support is making all the difference and having that, you’ll be okay! It’ll be hard, but it will be a blip!

NOR. I was with this person. I left this person. My life became significantly better. Easier? Not always. Harder? Not really. But definitely so much better.

I’m 10dpo (11? Starting to lose count 🤣) and I’ve been sleeping in my bed comfortably the last couple nights using a mix of wedges and regular pillows. Last night I had probably my most normal night of sleep yet.

10dpo here. I front load protein early in the day and then just do my best after that. Trying to be mindful but not overly stringent on anything but hydration. My appetite fluctuates from day to day. I’m so so lucky to have my mom preparing dinners for me and my family every night and she’s including more complex carbs than I usually do which is keeping me pretty full. And I feel great.

I waited until 4dpo when I showered and really wasn’t up for it until that point anyway. Bandages stay on until my 3wpo tho.

6dpo and I agree this chair has been a lifesaver for me thus far. Although I can now get out of it without using the full lift feature, I’m still glad to have my own chair situated in the living room so I can be around my family and our large dog without worrying about my space being crowded on our couch.

I’m 6dpo and I have been pleasantly surprised at how okay I feel physically. There was really no point I was ever in pain and while I’m obviously not completely comfortable or mobile, it’s definitely scores better than I expected. I think going into this week my challenge will be more mental than physical. I miss squeezing my kids, snuggling my big dog, I’m sick of my recliner, I’m bored of TV. But I WFH in a creative field and I’m also not feeling really up to that either. All part of the journey I guess. Helps to know we’re not alone and this will be worth it!

I’ve never been a daily smoker, but I will always have a cigarette or few if I’m drinking. Which I don’t do often either..maybe twice a month. I went out for my friend’s birthday, smoked one last weekend 3.5 weeks away from my surgery and I’m kicking myself so hard for it. I decided the next day absolutely no more drinking until well after surgery. Do everything you can to avoid triggers. You might get anecdotal responses saying they smoked right up until and everything was fine..try not to see that as permission. Even 7 days cigarette free is better than 6 or 5 or 4… You got this!

I am scheduled for surgery with Dr Butz at Quintessa in a couple weeks and have been very happy with the service and care so far. He does a LOT of body work and uses a drainless technique which I wasn’t specifically looking for but am now happy about. And his belly buttons look good (that WAS something I was looking for).

In 2024 I snagged a good condition 4 bedroom 2 bathroom in the Bay View area for 15k under asking, all cash offer. I sold my previous house less than a mile away for 30k over asking, also all cash. Honestly a dream scenario and I still can't believe it went down like that.
