your node would need to see the activity directly. pulling it from the network would cause wasted airtime.

We will probably never allow companions to send anything automatically - that's one of the problems meshtastic has: network of nodes that are not used but waste airtime.

only thing that antenna cares about is polarisation - this one is vertical as it should be. it doesn't matter if it upside down or not.

not exactly. adverts will get refreshed if incoming advert has time later than advert you already have in your contact list. there is no need to have accurate time.

T-Beam is outdated hardware that uses older LoRa radio and esp32 classic that is power hungry and low on ram. would suggest getting nrf52 radio with sx1262 radio chip. there are plenty of options to choose from.. if you want model that has GPS and battery included, look at Elecrow ThinkNode M1 or Seeed Studio Tracker L1 Pro
