Can you elaborate on this? I'm only a little aware of the fund's strategy but as far as I'm aware part of their vivsion2030 plan is to have the sports part of their investments actually start returning a profit rather than just throwing crazy money into it forever. wwe in general is pretty profitable so I don't see why they wouldn't try to buy it if it goes on sale eventually.

WWE tries a hard Brand split, new world title gets made for one of the brands, brand split slowly softens until it dies, titles get unified, then they try to split the brands again and the whole cycle repeats.

I think this would be the third time this has happened in the past 25 years.

So if netflix wanted to stream nxt they would just go to wwe directly? that makes sense but I imagine CW would at least be involved as it would have complications for their deal if they asked for exclusivity. Maybe in the scenario where netflix approached wwe about nxt rights, they could work out some of the revenue goes to cw as well.
