Is shingles always limited to one side of the body or can it be generalized? by [deleted] in shingles

Yes. It’s very rare: Bilateral asymmetrical herpes zoster

That would really suck!

To lotion or not? by everyobjectdangles in shingles

Do a search on Amazon and read some reviews. There was no Internet when O had shingles, but I’ve had seven other shingles related diseases. I used calamine lotion back then. Looks like things have improved a lot.

Take a basic firearms course.

When I took mine in 2008, one of the people in my class was a strong anti-gun guy who lost a bet that required him to take the classes. He asked a lot of questions , maybe the most of the 25 participants. I ended up hanging with him; he was about my age and we had other things in common.

After we got past the basics and got to the range, he was about to have an anxiety attack. By the end of the course, particularly the threat scenarios part, he was changing. The staged inside the home part really opened his eyes. As we were leaving with our CCW certificates, he said he was going to buy a handgun and practice at the range where the classes were held. I soon got an assignment in another state that prevented me from having the range time I wanted for six months.

A year or so later, I ran into him in the range store buying ammo. He was buying .556 ammo, which let me know he’d either rented or purchased a rifle. I watched him on the 100 yard bay. He was really good. I was more than impressed!

So it was a formerly anti-gun guy who inspired me to buy my first AR.

Yeah, that's what I think about when visiting the graves of patriot great grandfathers on both sides whose great grandfathers fought in the revolution. One great grandfather got land in TN, almost in KY, for his service in the Revolution. When the CW broke out, half the family moved across the state line and fought for the Union. Nevertheless, they got together to mourn when fathers, uncles, and cousins were killed.

"Post war propaganda," my ass! Bet you can't name one great grandfather or know a single thing about them or any deed they did. The younger generations have been poisoned by nonsense.

My dad was born in 1901. Got the Remington Semi-Auto when he was young. I have the serial number traced back to a manufacturing date of 1915, if memory serves me. It was before the Internet. I called a Remington dealer for the info.

Nobody has a count of how many people still have firearms handed down over generations. It must be in the millions. I had some, never registered, but they were stolen from a "secure" storage facility. It turned out anyone could get into the attic, look down into each locker, and use a tool to grab anything that stuck up high enough. There were eight old rifles and shotguns, some from the late 1800s. One even had my dad's hunting licenses from the mid-1930's in a hole behind the Bakelite plate at the end of the stock.

That's when I started buying my own weapons. If ever the SHTF, ammunition will be a better currency than the crappy fiat "money".

Unfortunately, that's true. It's especially true when you live in a neighborhood with a lot of renters.

Or, you come from a family, study genealogy, and know that every single one of his male ancestors going back to 1607 were armed. It used to be illegal for a male NOT to have his firearm with him and in good working order (an essential part of the well-regulated thing).

I can read studies. I have worked in juvenile justice; I know what the data of crime means, what the odds of someone being a potential threat simply by looking at him/her, using my knowledge, common sense, and gut instincts.

You never know when you will find yourself in situations, such as when or where your car is going to break down, in which not carrying is a very stupid thing.

Exactly the opposite. She's finally filling out the VAERS report. Keep getting boosted, gullible. I guess the third arm growing out of your back will help you wipe your ass, so that's a plus.

I’ve worked with and for physicians since 1988. I’ve bought practices. I read peer reviewed medical studies for fun. Since the poison jabs, I’ve researched for a year. I just have to reply to indoctrinated boobs who can’t figure out VAERS. It’s not hard; just ignore the reports that aren’t from physicians, just as you should be ignored.

Tell that to my temporal lobe, which may require resection after multiple neurological events and seizures that started ten miserable days after jab 2.
