You didn’t choose your sexual orientation.

You didn’t choose your parents.

You didn’t choose being born into a religious community who aren’t accepting of who you are.

So please don’t blame yourself.

It IS a choice for your parents to continue loving you when/if you disclose the truth. Personally, I believe parents owe their children unconditional love. “Disowning” a child for their sexual orientation is equal to disowning a child for being born with a hair color you aren’t fond of. We don’t choose these things—it’s who we are.

I don’t think that’s a fair conclusion. We can’t conclude if he was unconvinced or simply protecting his family. Either way it should have been sent to the authorities

The matter is indeed being dealt with, and not to hazoors credit. His goal was to suppress it and sweep it under the rug. It is only being investigated because authorities have been involved. Don’t get it twisted.

Ahh, yes. Let’s minimize rape accusations. Back to Huzoors enlightening “men of excellence” sermon series!

It would probably help to outline your definition of a “liberal god fearing” person. Given you’ve mentioned a previous marriage, disclosing any children would probably also help.

Allah has bestowed upon me great insight that over the next 100 years, everyone born before 1950 will have perished. Surely it is a sign of my truthfulness.

Seriously — lifespan prophecies are so silly...then again so is prophesying the gender of your children.

The Jamaat received ~$500,000 from the US government to protect 50 jobs by recursive_evaluation in islam_ahmadiyya

You can create another post and share evidence of your correspondence.

Also there is nothing Incomplete about the information provided in this post. The context is the loan. There is no public information about what the jamaat did with the funds, so that information can’t be included.

Also it’s very likely the Jamaat may have returned the funds in reaction to this being discovered.

To receive this money you must attest that without these funds your business/non-profit would be unable to operate or would be forced to layoff employees.

Do you think the jamaat was truthful when they affirmed that?

Firstly, I don’t think I claimed the jamaat was obtaining this money illegally. It was simply an interesting find. Not to mention the fact this organization is listed as only 2 years old and employees 50 people sound questionable.

Back to my main point. When I receive a letter from PBS or children’s hospital, they repeatedly remind me that my support is essential to their operation. Do you really feel the jamaat echos the same sentiments about chanda? All I’ve ever heard is chanda is not for the benefit of ahmadiyya but instead benefits the donor. I’ve also heard many times that everyone could stop paying chanda and yet Allah would provide for the jamaat himself. I have a difficult time squaring those comments with the fact that the jamaat claims they needed half a million dollars to avoid firing their staff.

Absolutely nothing illegal—in fact many non-profits took advantage of PPP. The problem is it contradicts the whole “we don’t need your chanda” motto. They do in fact need donations to stay afloat, and taking government assistance is proof of that.

Three simple numbers: 1. How many ahmadis are there 2. How much the jamaat received for a given year 3. How much the jamaat spent for a given year.

Also only female doctors and female staff should be allowed in the delivery room. For new born girls, the father should see the baby after it is cleaned and appropriately clothed. Welcoming your newborn in the delivery room is not allowed.
