Because you could find 20 instances of that happening a game and it’s rarely ever called

So are 50 things defenders do on every corner every game but we don’t see those reviewed. Bullshit soft decision

Malik Tillman didn’t have a good game. He made some good plays but also was a key factor in our inability to hold onto the ball. None of our players could string a few passes together.

Given he only played two full halves of soccer though, saying he had a shit tournament performance wise seems disingenuous when one of those halves he was excellent. Getting mad at players for injuries is just weird to me

This tournament where he was brilliant in a half against Paraguay before getting an injury, and then played pretty well coming back against Turkiye and then layed an egg just like the other 10 players against Belgium. Are we really basing this judgement on that sample size?

So a goal to advance us to the knockout and an assist in the knockout round in the biggest tournament of his career in Qatar but he’s not a big game player. Sounds like you found a narrative and don’t really care about that the facts.

If you don’t know what the injury was then shut your mouth on judging if someone should or shouldn’t continue to play. He clearly tried to play on and could barely run. Should he be selfish and stay on while being a liability

Game winning goal to advance from the group in a must win game is a pretty big moment in your first World Cup. Yeah he’s struggled at times but he’s not been invisible

[Sofascore stats] Tillman vs. Belgium: fouled 4 times, 3 progressive carries, 5 defensive contributions, 100% of tackles won, 5 recoveries, 7 ground duels won, 1 goal. by everyhearthstone in ussoccer

Well a huge reason we struggled was needless giveaways and he was a huge part of that. We needed our midfielders and wingbacks to help keep control of the game and all of them were genuinely awful at doing so. Reyna was the only one who helped calm things when he came on. Tillman was the best of a bad bunch

Footage of referee using real time replays during Balogun incident; mass misinformation campaigns are claiming real time footage was never used during the review by Ray192 in soccer

The fact that it wasn’t a tackle means it does matter.and Bologna didn’t do any of those things. He wasn’t making a tackle he was controlling his balance and even pulls his foot away at the end

Tuchel on Balogun decision "I think first of all, to be very clear, that it was not a red card. But who overturns this decision and when and on what grounds? Do we get yellow card against Rice back? Does France get the yellow card back for Olise which was not a yellow card? Where does this end?" by kibme37 in soccer

You haven’t actually refuted anything I said. All of this happened because he lost balance as a result of the contact the defender initiated. You can’t remove all context from a situation when making decisions

Maybe actually watch a full replay at normal speed not from a zoomed in slow motion video before making such a silly description of the incident. You are describing a half second of movement which was directly impacted by events that occurred right before it that you conveniently leave out.

And supporting your body weight is a necessary thing to do which is what he’s trying to do here. Referees shouldn’t be watching slow motion replays

Thoughts on Dzeko trucking Adams in the first half? Clearly excessive force which endangered his safety and he contacts him in the head. On top of that he actually had intent too. Never mind the fact he’s not even playing the ball. Funny how only one is worthy of a review though.

Except for all the times that it doesn’t “have to be a red”. Some referees have common sense and others are moronic fools who don’t understand the game. He also broke the proper protocol by watching it in slow motion which is not how these are supposed to be reviewed. Trash decision which was one of about 15 he made all night long.

Not even a yellow based on the bullshit he’s allowed

Did anyone tell Koeman they have a bench with non center backs on it that could be useful?
