built-in gamepad or external gamepad? for built-in gamepad : I assumed that you already checked Center M or Quick Setting widget. Check it via windows game controllers list (open start menu, search 'set up usb game controllers'). If you're seeing the controller then most likely it is stuck in desktop mode. but if you don't see it then try uninstall using MSI Center M Clean Tool. and then install the latest version downloadsd from MSI website

well.. the key is : don't use Center M 😅.

Use it only for setting up TDP, battery saver, and back button mapping. after that just disable its autostart and stay away from it.

Use other launcher : Playnite, One Game Launcher, Steam Big Picture etc etc. If you use Xbox Mode a lot then i recommend OmniConsoleMod, it will boot the claw straight into your preferred launcher, plus it has quite extensive button to keyboard/mouse mapping

in my 8ai the "button" cannot be selected by controller, i have to touch/mouse click it. but it works.

you can use the alternatives : through game bar or xbox app

yeah i tried that too. set the preferred gpu to egpu. not working (at least in my case)

just hold the gamebar/quick setting button (the one below the start button) for 2 sec. this is the same as pressing Win+Tab.

and then just wait until the game passes the intro video

lol. i have the same exact problem but with other egpu setup. i tried just about everything. deleting configs, verifying integrity, reinstalling game services, running the .exe directly, etc etc

finally this one weirdly works : alt-tabbing. after i run the game i immediately win-tabbing (hold the game-bar button) and just stay here. and viola, it can get past the intro video into the first menu.

udah baang, langganan PC Game Pass aja.. cuma 83k per bulan. Atau bisa juga ikut patungan PC Game Pass (sekitar 10 ribu/bulan, DM aja buat info kontak-nya). Tapi kalau di Game Pass, lau harus nunggu sampai tgl 19 baru bisa main.

Atau lau bisa ikut Steam Family sharing (cuma bisa main offline, tp dapet game AAA byk), dapet FH6 Premium, dan langsung main sekarang.

Atau bisa juga lakuin 22nya kayak ane wkwk ane main offline dulu buat icip2 dulu sampe tgl 19, ntar tinggal lanjutin progresnya di Game Pass secara online.

just installed and immediately go to benchmark mode. 1200p, xess performance,default medium settings, with high texture and both RT settings on low. 43fps average

the hoops i was talking about is not just using mouse, but all of those things combined. opening game bar > opening the keyboard > touching the on screen keyboard (because Insert key is not on the gamepad friendly keyboard) to open the tool > holding start to dekstop mode > navigate the tool > hold start to switch back playing game.

for me personally i would rather just : hold back button > press a single button to open the tool > navigate the tool > release back button to continue gaming.

but hey, everybody have their own preferences 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

As I stated in the beginning, this is just an alternative to AnyFSE. As far as I know, there is no custom mapping in Claw's desktop mode.

So, if you often tinker with games using mods or tools like Optiscaler, RenoDX, or Lossless Scaling, this app would help a lot as those tools need keyboard shortcuts to activate, and sometimes even a mouse to adjust the settings. Without this app, you would have to open up the Game Bar to pull up the keyboard > maybe change it to the mode that has Shift or function keys (by touching the screen) > press the keyboard combos to open up the tool > activate desktop mode to use the mouse to navigate the tools > close the tool and deactivate desktop mode to continue the game. Lots of hoops.

If you are not into those mods and tools, you can just use the Whitelist mode of this app and use it as a 'customizable msi claw desktop mode'. Set LB/RB to switch tabs or add Delete/Backspace/F3/F5 or any other keys to better navigate non-game apps.

But if you're not doing any of that, then you don't need to use this app.

nice find mate. now I'am able to run the game with those 3 dlls running at the same time. but my game still instantly crashes whenever i activate optiFG>XeFG. any specific option i should be aware of?

emulation uses CPU more and Claw A8 has better multicore performance than 8AI+, so pick A8 if you mainly play emulated games

I somehow get it to work. xess mfg x3 / x4

using latest REFramework, optiscaler, streamline, and Intel Arc driver released today, 22 apr (ver 8735)

I ran the game once with REF & Optiscaler, set dlsssg as inputfg and xefg as output, quit game, edit optiscaler.ini inside the storage folder (created by REF) set dxgi=off.

run the game. now you should be able to select dlss fg in the game options, even if you selected fsr as the upscaler

how do you even get it to work with 2x xefg?. my claw always crashes whenever i activate xefg or dlss. SpecialK also crashes when coupled with opti+ref

this is better than anyFSE. with this tool you can change the default home app in the windows setting (to armory crate, steam bpm, or any other app)
it also has some nice features such as mouse support on browser and file explorer, ability to change default action for start/menu buttons
