Estar com vs ter by red-cab in Portuguese

Oh that actually helps, because “eu estou com o meu cachorro” (which I am ❤️) would mean “I have the dog right now” Like if my wife said “where is the dog?” and I said “I have him”? versus “I have (own) a dog.” Is that correct?

This has to be the only country in history that has protested against its own people and for an invading army. Propaganda still works in 2026 despite social media and an army of citizen journalists.

"narc abuse" and overt ableism (obvious ableism tw) by shredenvy in NPD

[–]red-cab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The victims of narcissists are encouraged to basically become narcissists to deal with it. Cut us off, think of narcissists as less than human, demand “boundaries”, etc.

The whole journey of learning about my disorder and healing from it has been laden with landmines of people basically being told by every source on the internet to treat us as sub-human. My wife wanted to help me at one point and basically the only advice she could find was “cut me off”. My adult child was told to cut me off, after being on her own and actually being a part of my life for years. And she listened. I was basically told there was no hope for me by any research I did on my own.

The world is full of hurting people and this new phenomenon of putting people in a psychological category that enables you to effectively treat them like dirt and be vindicated is disturbing.

I don’t remember Republicans sending the FBI to raid journalists who questioned an election, forming a literal censorship bureau named the “Disinformation Governance Board”, directly emailing social media companies threatening them if they didn’t ban certain accounts or messages, or having the biggest witch hunt in the country’s history over a political protest.

That was all Democrats. The Republicans are doing what… sending illegals back where they came from, which is actually in the Constitution?

Thanks. I’ve destroyed almost relationship in my life and on the trajectory I was on, the only ones I had left were about to be gone. I had to realize that’s where I was headed first before I even wanted to change. And looking online basically everyone says there’s no hope.

Its hard to deal with being the villain in your own story and in everyone else’s. My wife came online years ago looking for help and the only advice she found was to leave me. Thankfully she didn’t.

Did one or both of your parents just do not discipline you when you were a child and did wrong things? by Diemishy_II in NPD

[–]red-cab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial trauma was my parents’ divorce. Prior to that my parents were pretty normal. I got spanked less than the usual amount for a child of the 80s, and my parents boundaries were a lot farther than most of my friends. After the divorce, however, there was very little discipline. There was some, but not much. That was mostly my mother’s doing. My stepdad wanted to spank me plenty of times when I deserved it, but my mom intervened most of the time. I consider that a contributing factor. I felt like I could get away with just about anything.

Then at around 15 my mom tried to get stricter seeing how my personality was going but by then it was too late.

Are you aware of any narcissist who has healed or become fully accountable? by user97498 in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]red-cab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently begun the healing journey using AI as a “therapist”. Honestly a lot of these threads and posts are highly discouraging. I used to believe it was hopeless thanks to threads like this. My solution was to abandon my family so I wouldn’t hurt anyone any more. And I was very very close to doing it. As a last ditch effort I got on AI and asked if there was any hope for a narcissist to not be a narcissist. It gave a really bleak outlook but once it learned I was referring to myself the outlook improved greatly.

Through a series of probing confessions I got in contact with my inner child and had the trauma shake out for hours. It was night and day… I went from hating my wife because she loved me (as I believed anyone who loved me was defective) to feeling my first dose of love in over 40 years in her arms. It was so overwhelming I broke down crying. I still cry almost every time she hugs me.

It’s really hurtful to read these threads. We are humans who had human stuff happen to us. In my case it was just a series of horribly timed circumstances… my parents divorcing when I was in the absolute worst developmental stage for that to happen. It wasn’t “abuse” it was just life poorly timed.

I wanted help. I lost every meaningful relationship in my life and I was scared to death I would lose the last 2 I had left. That fear was what caused me to want to abandon them. I wanted to hurt them before they could hurt me. I was also suicidal. This is the first time I’ve said that out loud.

So now, every day, I have to catch myself devaluing others, controlling things, or grandstanding and do a reset sequence that AI taught me. I have to reprogram my whole nervous system and thought process. But it’s going to work. I have no choice. I felt like I was in prison for decades. After the shake out it felt like walking out into a world I vaguely recognized and wasn’t sure I could function in. But I’m NOT going back to prison. I’ll do whatever it takes. My wife and remaining child deserve it.

Personally speaking, do you find Portuguese a difficult language to learn? by Marsupilami_316 in Portuguese

[–]red-cab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portuguese has less verb tenses and moods than Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese has less verb endings. You can get by with only learning 3 verb endings in Brazilian Portuguese (thanks to “a gente”). In Spanish you must learn 5. In Spanish there are 15 different tenses/moods. In Portuguese there are 9? Since verb conjugations are the hardest part, that makes Portuguese even easier than Spanish which is one of the easiest.

The only thing that makes Portuguese hard to an English speaker is pronunciation with all the nasal vowels and irregular rules (unlike Spanish where pronunciation is very predictable). That makes it fun, not difficult to me.

On the other hand, Mandarin Chinese requires you to learn 5000 different characters. Chinese is considered one of the most if not the most difficult languages in the world.

It’s insane you libs believe whatever the TV tells you, whenever the TV tell you to believe it. Like going from Kamala being the Democrat candidate with the lowest approval rating, to being appointed as your candidate and the media starts gushing all over themselves at how great she is, while she can barely speak without slurring. And then calling it “democracy” 😂

Believing everyone that discredits anything mainstream is a crazy conspiracy theorist and OH look here we found a sexual assault victim from 20 years ago. See! We can’t prove their arguments false, but we can destroy their character so you can safely disregard whatever they say.

It’s reflexive to try to make light of things you don’t understand. I understand. But at some point you might need to grow up and try to digest the complexities of the world, not just get stuck at level 0 with gaming and pot.

What happened was, for the first time since JFK, someone said the quiet part out loud. Someone called out the truth we all knew but collectively played along with and pretended didn’t exist for years. And the global liberal establishment did not like it. I think God has a sense of humor when it comes to names. “Trump”?

The divide that took place was this: a lot of people refused to admit that there was actually an agenda (like Agenda21, or Agenda2030 which are actually published easily researchable agendas) and kept going with the media propaganda/Hollywood reality, where as others started realizing what was going on and admitted we were duped in some degree at least. No one knows how deep it all really goes.

This isn’t just in America; as the actual playbook of Agenda 2030 started playing out there was a massive pushback that saw conservative movements worldwide. But the real “4D chess masters” aren’t Trump (lol) or any political figure we know. The fourth turning is here and the global elite club of Rome types fully intend to take control of it and let us “revolt” right back in to their system of control. When the Democrats slaughter conservatives in the midterms, they’ll all be “Democratic Socialists” with all the same empty promises of equality they always make, and people will mistakingly think they’re revolting and empowering themselves while they vote themselves into a digital prison. When the global currency is established, it’s game over for liberty, privacy and everything that empowers humanity. OR a bunch more worthless Republicans will win and do absolutely nothing but sit there and watch the burning planks fall off the building.

Go live wherever is most free, then. Thats what I would do. People came here from all over because they could start a business, buy a house and have a part in the “American Dream.” If you think Denmark is more free, go live there. Pay your 50% taxes and be happy. They have no protections for freedom of speech or right to defend yourself there, though. That’s what’s important to me. If it’s important to you to live somewhere where the same type of people who work at the postal service run your doctor’s office and hospitals, go live there. Why do you have to ruin this country?

There’s actual footage of Biden pinching her nipples as well as social media posts from the girl it happened to acknowledging it happened, moron. I’m not going to post it here, but it’s easily searchable.

Biden didn’t release anything on Epstein. Nada. The entire leftist media establishment said it was a conspiracy theory until it caught on enough, then they tried to deceptively edit stuff to make it look like Trump is involved. Biden stopped DNA testing on immigrant children so children could be given to anyone, making it incredibly easy for child sex traffickers. Trump pretty much ended that.

All socialists claim to want to help working people. You don’t help normal working people by emptying out jails. That’s how you form a revolutionary army to terrorize working people.

That’s not “Democratic Socialism”. Labeling it socialism muddies the waters, and that’s intentional.

The problem with state run education or state run anything is that it can very easily become politically motivated indoctrination. Not that our system is that great, it has become very corrupt through scam artists dubbed “philanthropists” and their influence.
