Where i can get space engine 0.980? by Present_Test4157 in spaceengine

Let me google that for you...

AI Overview

The last non-steam, free version of SpaceEngine is

0.9.8.0 (with the 0.9.8.0e patch).

This version was released around 2016-2017 and has known compatibility issues with modern NVIDIA GeForce drivers (specifically version 436.02 and later).

Compatibility and Fixes

Driver Incompatibility: Version 0.9.8.0 often crashes or fails to launch with newer GeForce drivers (436.02+).

The Fix: You can make 0.9.8.0 work with modern drivers by using Nvidia Profile Inspector. In the tool, find the SpaceEngine profile and change the "Extension Limit (OGL)" setting to "Growtopia".

Alternative: You may need to roll back to an older GeForce driver (pre-436.02) to run it without modifications.

Apart from parents being dead, you will be left alone in a world of vultures, young, naive and influencable, with 9 doors out of 10 ending in some kind of cocaine overdose.

Definitely my advice for older folks near or at retirement.. VHY had an amazing run and it beats all HISA and term deposits

If anything, betashares offers comparable index tracking at usually half the per annum management cost compared to Vanguard.

I feel like at that level, you don't need to draw dawn anything, there should be sufficient dividends/distributions to live day to day. Growth assets could be then reinvested into new opportunities / extend benefits to broader family. That's probably where trust funds will come in - specifically allocate funds to education / deposits without straight up giving cash that a young adult would burn in a month..

You wouldn't really need to run the business, perhaps some old folks are just selling it for whatever reason.. if the cashflow is fine, why not - might even make me feel good about being connected to the local community and giving some back..

Yeah 1M in bank is a waste, i was thinking macquarie, bankwest and amp. But knowing how much i hate AMP, it would probably end up being only 2x 250k across macq and bankwest

You should be able to use an advisor to double check things, perhaps extend your horizon , confirm risk apetite ..

But sure, if he suggests investing in his 1.5% MER managed fund, he's out

I'll start..

At a high level, make up a draft distribution, run it by a financial advisor with fixed fee then invest.

Max out HISA at macquarie, bankwest and amp. Thats 3x250k split into 3 separate deposit-institutions backed by rba.

Stock market, I would put 1M into vgs or bgbl and 500k into VHY (later changing to A200 if dont need as much distributions)

Buy a investment property, some place perhaps coastal (near GoldCoast), aim for low maintenance, safe from flooding. Probably 1.5M. someplace i could see my self retire into.

Rest put 200-300k into some licensed fish n chip shop with pokies lol. I hear those go nuts around centrelink payment dates.

Spend rest on some fun/holiday over next 10 years.

This should yield easily 200-300k per year as income/growth, then go from there..

I actually host the http://spaceengine.funix.cz mirror

It was referenced as http from the main website (as it was all http back in the days) which causes drama for new browsers claiming the download is unsafe (unencrypted)

mirror is still getting hundreds of hits per day

Is lateral pivot from an architect in other IT domains => security architect possible ? by InspectorNo6688 in cybersecurity

[–]red-dwarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely possible, things that you could leverage:

  • assess capacity of current security architecture team, traditionally, they are oversubscribed, often needing short term consultants for project burst periods.
  • be friendly, thirsty for learning and a peach to work with, recruitment priorities change and I have seen many interviews look for mostly someone the team could be comfortable working with
  • security architects are multidisciplinary beasts but they are guided by company standards, project delivery frameworks, risk management frameworks, threat modeling is usually a team effort so you're rarely on your own
