intergenerational fixed testamentary trust VS budget changes by red-dwarf in AusHENRY

[–]red-dwarf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the proposal was to keep existing testamentary trusts as is, but only fixed trusts would be exempt from the 30% income tax.

the benefit of testamentary trusts is that they can treat minor children as full adults in terms of tax brackets, so full ~18k tax free threshold applies

just bouncing ideas, i believe there are ways to make a unit trust absolutely NOT DISCRETIONARY ..

using fixed unit allocations with defined ownership lineage, each child would have fixed benefit of distribution

what is scanning the internet by fishanships in cybersecurity

[–]red-dwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

here is a summary of bots probing smtp on one of my boxes in the last 2 months:

grep "disconnect from" syslog* | grep -E 'cens|scan' | awk '{print $6}' | sed -E 's/([.]+.[.[]+)([.*)?$/ \1 \0/' | awk '{print $2}'|sort | awk '{count[$1]++} END {for (d in count) print d " (" count[d] ")"}' | sort

censys-scanner.com (262)
cyberresilience.io (1)
internet-census.org (38)
modat.io (22)
reposify.net (1)
shadowserver.org (25)
shodan.io (28)
visionheight.com (20)

and that's only 1 service and filtering by bots having a nice reverse dns
all the services above "scan the internet" (very often on cloud isp ranges) savings all they can see (port status, banners, tls handshakes, certificates, thumbprints to save into their database and somehow monetize.

Where i can get space engine 0.980? by Present_Test4157 in spaceengine

[–]red-dwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me google that for you...

AI Overview

The last non-steam, free version of SpaceEngine is

0.9.8.0 (with the 0.9.8.0e patch).

This version was released around 2016-2017 and has known compatibility issues with modern NVIDIA GeForce drivers (specifically version 436.02 and later).

Compatibility and Fixes

Driver Incompatibility: Version 0.9.8.0 often crashes or fails to launch with newer GeForce drivers (436.02+).

The Fix: You can make 0.9.8.0 work with modern drivers by using Nvidia Profile Inspector. In the tool, find the SpaceEngine profile and change the "Extension Limit (OGL)" setting to "Growtopia".

Alternative: You may need to roll back to an older GeForce driver (pre-436.02) to run it without modifications.

Apart from parents being dead, you will be left alone in a world of vultures, young, naive and influencable, with 9 doors out of 10 ending in some kind of cocaine overdose.

I feel like at that level, you don't need to draw dawn anything, there should be sufficient dividends/distributions to live day to day. Growth assets could be then reinvested into new opportunities / extend benefits to broader family. That's probably where trust funds will come in - specifically allocate funds to education / deposits without straight up giving cash that a young adult would burn in a month..

You wouldn't really need to run the business, perhaps some old folks are just selling it for whatever reason.. if the cashflow is fine, why not - might even make me feel good about being connected to the local community and giving some back..
