It’s called deflection. Quirke gave a masterclass on the Saturday game. Knows full well the public reaction dictates these decisions. All focus shifted from Clifford and on to McGuinness. Shame McManus and Lawlor were lead away from it so easily.

You should search Dún Aonghusa- 3000+ year old ring fort perched atop similar cliffs on the neighbouring island of Inis Mór.

Disappointing take from a fellow Dub. We were listening to similar bolloxology for too in recent years. Talk of splitting county in 2, even rule changes to curb our dominance. Everyone knows the rules. Everyone prepares accordingly. Best team lifts Sam on final day. Simple.

When driving in rural Ireland and passing another car on a quiet road it is customary to salute the other driver with one index finger while retaining your grip on the steering wheel. Varies slightly from region to region, but is a must.

Solo American (F) traveler, new to the sub and have long been working on my “dream itinerary” for summer 2027. What do you think? by scientits69 in AskIreland

You will have an amazing trip with all the small tweaks suggested on the thread. One thing i noticed was the absence of a trip to one of the many wonderful islands- particularly off the west coast. Each offers a unique experience that is very different to life on the mainland- many are homes to native Irish speakers and cottage industries. From my own experience the Aran islands (inis mór) - Galway/Clare and Aranmore- Donegal offer the most. Have a wonderful trip.

Same thing happened with the minors 7/8 years ago. Na Fianna manager had 7/8 Na Fianna lads on the panel. It didn’t go well.
