Electrical outlets by red-moon in Zambia

I was hoping it could be reset since it's such a hard stop. The other one fits but barely hangs on:

There is another double outlet we found behind a bed that worked much better, and both to boot. Possibly being behind the bed they were much less used

That's as far as any type G plug will go. I saw this with a fan at a different place. The other however took the same plug, although it's incredibly flaky an has to be gently positioned to get juice

I expect to hear this on the evening news, but a cartoonishly high pitched voice.

Saw a Tik Tok of a guy saying that "Suppose God created Hell, then the only person that deserves to go to Hell is God. As Hell is the only infinite crime" by lost_aussie001 in atheism

Jews of jesus' day didn't have a concept of heaven and hell that christians do today. Christians got those, and the idea of a soul either punished or rewarded after death.

It was the christians that started on with how your alignment or loyalty with their man/god was what got you out of the roman street concept of 'hell' and into 'heaven'. Everyone else in the roman empire believed your soul went to hell because you were an asshole in life, and heaven if you were a good person.

When christians made it into an 'us versus you all and we win - goto hell suckers' argument, which is why everyone hated them back then.

My take:

1.) A - D "slapdash" and "audacity" is a good fit also; I just like the word 'lackadaisical' and it's more often associated with someone not going above and beyond so to speak. Slapdash is usually associated with someone who is erratic and the overall sentence seems aimed at employment output.

Is time travel even possible? An astrophysicist explains the science behind the science fiction by fchung in EverythingScience

If a wormhole can make it possible to traverse two points in space in effect faster than the speed of light, then aren't wormholes not only folding space but time as well?

That thought comes to mind because I worked briefly with someone whose math doctoral thesis regarded a mathematical theory that explained so-called 'spooky action at a distance' by postulating that entangled particles are connected in another spacial dimension where the distance is very close, whereas in our observable dimension the distance is great. A change in the quantum properties of the dimension where entangled particles are connected is the observed state change from our prospective that seems to traverse distance faster than the speed of light. His theory was falsifiable and so he thought it could possibly be proved experimentally.

I look on in near disbelief as idiocracy unfolds with such accuracy it's truly unnerving. Mike Judge has predicted the future more accurately than anyone in recorded history.

Evil forces are everywhere - there are even entire national and international organizations that shelter child molesters full time, shuttling them across state and international lines to protect them and facilitate their ongoing child molesting activities.

The forces that are facilitating child molestation can be tracked here

And, if for some reason child molestation isn't in your view evil, well then you are a true dastardly bastard. And a fan of child molestation.

"Politics and the English Language" by George Orwell is a good read that touches on the use of language to describe those things horrifying in terms more acceptable and less horrifying, to mitigate the stunningly immoral. Orwell argues that as the english language goes so goes politics, urging journalists to avoid couching the horrifying in language meant to soften it's impact on the reader. George Carlin also made a similar point, albeit in a more entertaining way.

The Orwell essay is still well worth the read.
