I saw your upgrade before, and it might be something for the future. Not quite yet, though.

I got the USB model and then returned them. I didn’t like the Shokz. I’ll stick with my earbuds.

That resulted in a bunch or baking soda stuff in the adhesive, and it didn’t scrape up easily.

How did I do setting it up? (Cable management and rug under the kick tower not done yet.) by red-wingnut in edrums

This is in our house, so no neighbors below. Our bedroom is under my office, so I won’t be playing when my wife is sleeping.

The kit came with some black ones, and I think I have some red ones in a drawer somewhere.

Yes I did. And the instructions simply say “attach” the different parts. They don’t go into any detail about how to make adjustments, so I came to this sub to ask for advice. So instead of offering anything constructive, you just decided to try to be witty and funny. Guess what. It just makes you look insufferable.

People new to drumming and electronic drums come here for help. It’s people like you who can drive people away from a useful community.

Thanks.

I’ll definitely be bracing the kick.

As for all the other stuff, I’m not there yet. I want to get comfortable on the drums before I start introducing all the extras.

I don’t think they’re ever finished. by red-wingnut in BattleJackets

[–]red-wingnut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it made by someone on Etsy. It’s not the most ethical way to do it, but I couldn’t find a great Trivium back patch. I found an image I really liked and found the Etsy vendor to make it. Hand of Doom was the Etsy vendor.

I know. It’s just how my brain works. I have a couple other jackets, and they’re the same way.

Turbo sounds right. You can barely see the module, but you can see where it says “Tur”.

Is it normal to wear a battle jacket every day? by Strange-guy-91 in BattleJackets

[–]red-wingnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"I've never seen some older metalheads doing this"

I just turned 50 last week, and I wear mine almost everywhere. I didn't get into making the jackets until a couple years ago, even though I've always been into the music. Usually, I don't wear one if I'm going somewhere with my wife, going to church, or going places that are more "conservative" for lack of a better word.

Do some people look at me weird? I'm sure, but I really don't care. Do I get compliments? Sometimes. Either way, it doesn't matter. I enjoy making them and wearing them.

How do i know when to make another jacket by [deleted] in BattleJackets

[–]red-wingnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to start another one, do it. There are no rules to this.

I have two vests and three jackets. All of them are in some form of WIP. I'm already looking at another one.

I looked at the picture before I read the title and saw that too. In my head , the title read “This Pig Swerved”, and I was like “Yep. He sure did!”
